ML20 its very inaccurate. It only soft counters OKW main style of noobs - when they make 2 leigs and sit there near schwerHQ.
Katy hard counters that but you cant make it fast enough.
Against infantry on the map it does 0 damage cuz it has like a low chance of hit it..

High damage, can be protected easly (against OKW), many shells/barrage.

Sadly this is one of those things they cant really fix without messing something else up.

But is another prime example of OKW poor faction design and again how they are at the bottom of the pile with yet another massive disadvantage over all other factions.

I love arty, and just to point it out lefy can now do the same things to allies bases to. I think the best option is to make it so Off-map ability and the On map artillery can't be used in bases sectors.

I still don't like the fact that arty emplacement can just be two click out by axis. And like it has been pointed out OKW should be punished for placing there buildings to forward, but shouldn't be punish in the bases sector.

Biggest problem I think is the range of all Arty in general especially on 1vs1/2vs2 maps which are not all big enough.

The difference is BOTH allied factions have a call-in or unit counter to the Lefe.

USF:
Major recon + off map artillery (on multiple commanders, time on target ect)
Priest

Soviet:
IL2 bombs
Their own Artillery
B4

Oshteer
Light arty barrage
Stukka bomb

The problem is the OKW dont have any off-maps to reliably deal with it, Even the scavenge doctrine's artillery covers a wide area and doesn't hit exactly where you want it to, making it poor for sniping a single unit it its area of effect. and 180 ammo is a lot for a good chance that it will miss or at least fail to kill the gun.

On 90% of 1v1 and 2v2 maps you could build all your trucks in your own base and still be perfectly within range of the enemies artillery.

Replace the air assault ability in Luftwaffe Ground Troops with a Stuka Bombing Strike. Replace the heavy fortifications ability with a recon pass.

Totally useless. Countered by a 30 mun mine on a faction that floats ammo. And you loose a Luchs. Good luck defusing mines in the entrance of the enemies base or even getting the sturmpio squad there.

Well, unfortunatly, okw doesn't have any better options against base arty. The scavenge arty is the only other one that works in base sectors, but you need Los for it anyways, plus it's quite expensive.

Stuka doesn't kill the gun so it only delays death by a few seconds.

I guess we can always wait for Goliath commander :creeper:


No. Stuka means you are speeding up your own death by giving him a free volley.

From the game i played and those i watched, OKW players are used to place their base (flak) aggressively to deny territory and win easily.

Maybe its time to be a bit more cautious?

Sure there is ml-20, but also at-gun howitzer mode, SU-76 or others.

It is already so easy to just self-spot SU85 / ZiS attack ground / KV8 rush and kill Flak HQ in seconds last patch. l2p if you got a problem with flak HQ.

We are talking about a 600 mp arty that can cover the entire 2v2 map, from base to base

This thing is not stuka dive bombing, many time all the 6 shot missed the intended target...

And it's only 2 more shots.. don't exagerate, we live with cas and walking stukas since the beginning... we know what it is to be obliterated... come try the allies and see.
