Before anyone crap out high risk high reward bullshit, sorry, ML20 can shoot into your base, while your offmap cannot shoot back.

You can always go elite armor. You have a new and improved sturmtiger, as well as the panzer commander artillery that has always wiped artillery for me, and for only 120 mu.

It may not be ideal, but it's a possible counter until relic makes artillery work differently.

Well, if you can get a tank that deep into his base, why don't you nuke him with the sturmtiger? :)

You are not entirely correct.
On most 4v4 maps it can't if been built in your base sector.

Also - what "into your base" has to do with OKW?
Or you've meant not base sector, but trucks?

OKW is supposed to suicide extremely expensive tanks into the soviet base just to maybe take out a 600MP unit?

ALL howies either need reduced range and/or be prevented from being built in base. I prefer the reduced range approach personally.

Well, unfortunatly, okw doesn't have any better options against base arty. The scavenge arty is the only other one that works in base sectors, but you need Los for it anyways, plus it's quite expensive.

Stuka doesn't kill the gun so it only delays death by a few seconds.

I guess we can always wait for Goliath commander :creeper:

From the game i played and those i watched, OKW players are used to place their base (flak) aggressively to deny territory and win easily.

Maybe its time to be a bit more cautious?

Sure there is ml-20, but also at-gun howitzer mode, SU-76 or others.

Yes with that we agree, but being bombed out of your HQ, just because Soviets get a 600 mp investment that can destroy your HQ in 2 barrages, is not something to be a bit more cautious with, it is unfair.

Putting the flak in your base doesn't mean you can stop the ML20 bombing it. lel

Yea on smaller maps its pretty broken imo. There is no safe place including your own base, actually, especially your own base.

I think the answer here is to give OKW a precision guided V-1 or V-2. Allow it to be called in on the fog of war with very high scatter, but if target is visible it would be accurate.

Arty breakthrough support weapon wall are fine, killing base structure are nuts.
