Thread: Why no countdown for rifle nades?31 Jul 2015, 11:57 AM aaa just stop dude... I know you wont until allies have a NUKE AUTO WIN button... but seriously these topics are getting old. Why dont you just suggest Axis start with 10 tickets and Allies keep the 500 and be done with it? Or when a rifle nade fires the game pauses and men in High vis jackets come on, and set up a perimeter of roadwork cones and health and safety tape around the nade saying "DANGER KEEP CLEAR!" Thats what it seems your working towards... 90% of your posts seem to be an awareness issue not a balance issue and the other 10% are just wrong. Sorry dude. In: COH2 Balance

Go to the live games, and you can see the total amount of games being played at a current time. The number of players playing automatch is nowhere near that. I doubt the number of players playing at any given time even reaches 400. Its an example Even if theres 400 ingame theres still only around 20 in que. so the point still stands. In: Lobby

Search Rates and Faction Preference: Example: 4,000 people are in game and 500 people are searching, 400 are searching for Axis and 100 for Allies. Therefore what the search percentage shows is 80% searching for Axis and 20% searching for Allies. So 80% of people are not IN A GAME as Axis, 50% are and the other 50% are in game as Allies. Overall 2,400 people are playing/want to play as Axis, and 2,100 are playing/want to play as Allies. So the actual faction preference for Axis is 53%, not 80%. It has nothing to do with balance... maybe if you played anything other than USF you would know that. I prefer germans and i did in Coh1 because as a kid i watched alot of war movies and always loved the cool tanks and uniforms. The main one that stands out was Kelly's Heroes. That black tiger coming thro the wall + until Islamic terrorists the baddies are always cooler. Thread: Fuel rationing as an approach to balancing31 Jul 2015, 00:31 AM Jump back to quoted post30 Jul 2015, 13:13 PMArray Current win/loss rates (www.coh2chart.com/) show a surprisingly even level of balance at 1v1 but as the games grow the axis / allies difference widens massively. There are debates about the value of these stats and also whether 4v4 can ever be balanced but I believe that there is a big disparity and its a big problem for the wider player base (who mostly play these modes) and enjoyment of the game. Im not a big fan of the nerf / buff unit approach and certainly not on the scale that might be needed to shift win /loss rates on this scale - I think some subtle tweaking is needed to increase gameplay fun and reduce frustration but otherwise unit balance is quite good. The problem as I see it relates to the synergy between OKW and OH and how increased resources and map sixe in large games benefits axis. Fuel scaling for maps (i.e. less resources from points the bigger the game size) has been brought up before but I see little discussion - it also feels a bit fiddly. i would be interested however to see the effect of something simpler - making resource caches only benefit the player who builds them in the same way that opel trucks were changed. This would have the benefit slowing tech in large games for everyone and specifically reducing OH / OKW synergy. the danger is it might have some fatal effects on early mid game in 2v2 and the ability of OKW / OH teams to counter soviet t3 for example but then double OKW teams manage ok. Top 200 charts are not viable to judge balance since most of these games have been a top 200 player vs someone alot lower in the ranking than that. All this shows is preference of the top 200. Thread: SU-76 issues30 Jul 2015, 03:39 AM I think it does have a similar if not the same pen as the SU85... which if you as me is abit overkill. Since the traditional method of AT guns to kill tank destroyers doesnt work since they will barrage you. best option is bait them with something and lure them out to be flanked by something else. Same with SU85s. E.g (on an open map) Send 1 P4 or P3 round the back of them so they turn to shoot it, then attack their front with a panther, or some heavier AT. But since their HP buff tbh they should of recived a slight fuel price increase like the StuG did. In: COH2 Balance
