Second volley of katyusha rockets arrives bit later,giving u time to retreat survivors.With calliope all rockets came so fast u often couldn't retreat.Though cooldown can be increased.I'm happy with performance.Sov t4 has no solid AI save shitty su-76 and this balances that out. |
Played as soviets in 2 team games..got 25-30 plus kills with katyusha in both.But despite this i like the new change as soviets now using t4 again,instead of just t-34/85,isu or is-2.Yes its a tad bit oevrdone..but unit feels worthy.Only sad thing is panzerwerfer remains shit.Overall quite a good patch from relic,except the ignore wehr part. |
Katyusha very good now...played and its really pounding turtling by ostheer.Mgs and paks backed by tiger/pz 4 is no longer as good against katyusha playing soviet player.Sadly ostheer again children of a lesser god,existence not even acknowledged in patch. |
This one is complex i have to say.
Lets start with OKW -when i was reading the units changes i felt ok RIP to what was already the weakest faction (except high team games).I mean took away obers,last counter to maximspam in ISG.
BUT crucial change in 100% munitions..we don't have any idea what this is going to do to the meta.Also a slight buff on the luchs.
A MAJOR buff on the mg-34.Lets see if this helps vs maximspam.
Overall excited abt this new OKW-only disappointment-nothing on the panther.
USA-
Very good timely changes .Need to see if halftrack small nerf works.
Atleast the jeep and vet 2 got fixed.
Deserved change on pack howie and mortar halftrack.
Like teh stuart change-everybody gets truck and this should help diversify hopefully.
Overall it highly depends on how useful halftrack nerf is-if it works wehr might finally have more of a chance.However nothing was done to us blobbing.Easy eight will need future adjustments for OKW i'm willing to bet.

Still same huge teching costs.

Most of all panthers still useless and elefant still useless..the 1 tank endgame is again encouraged.Farcical stuff here.

Faced EASY EIGHT as OKW multiple times today...its absolutely ridiculous.I basically have nothing to counter 2-3 of these.2 of these will easily beat a panther and 2 or more are always there by the time u can actually use panther.Dominates infantry,laughs at raketenwerfer.Just E8 spam can totally shut down OKW lategame,no chance u can keep up against this flood of medium armor.He's always got way more armor than u can ever dream off and u balancers-the raketen is near useless and volks doesn't cut.And the cherry on the cake -its comes with double vet rifle.Though this is more of a nightmare for ostheer players. |

Soviets were not running out of tanks in 1944,but men.
After stalingrad russia could have won the war on its own taking 2 more years than 45' and total manpower exhaustion.
Germans lost over a million men in 1941 and the sov counteroffensive-1/3rd of the invading force and nearly the whole casualities being germans as they came primarily on army group centre.
In 1942 and stalingrad they lost another million plus bulk of the eastern front allied forces.Game over right there manpowerwise.After that teherw as no way they could ever resume a general offensive..just stay on the defensive and hope to inflict kharkov like ripostes. |
All I can say is FUCK this unit. Play 3 v 3 and it's a rush to ober soldatten then fucking stuka spam. Honestly those of you saying this shit is balanced haven't tried playing against an okw team that knows how to spam these in conjunction with an infrared half track and ISGs. I lost 2 Sherman to their goddamn rockets so no these things are no longer in the realm of blob control.
The amount of bullshit surrounding OKW indirect fire support weapons is amazing.
They need to be nerfed into the fucking ground or completely redesigned and brought into line with other artillery. Add scatter, reduce range, fuck I don't know but their current incarnation is bull shit.
Aye and vet rifles,maxims,Rifle LMG DPS,bullshit m15 halftrack needs to be nerfed into the groudn with it.That'll fix things.If the blob goes..the blob buster can go. |
Agreed with much of what he says on other 3 factions except OKW which i feel he is slightly biased towards.
On Rifles long range DPS to give grenadiers a chance is good solution as they can upgrade to bars anyway lategame.Their pack howitzer can get price decrease.Vet riflemen doctrine is OP and m15 truck is still OP due to arrival time.
Agree on soviets especially on his su-76 ideas.Maxim nerf..obvious as usual-most glaring soviet issue of all,but i feel penals need a slight buff.Soviet stock inf needs to scale a bit better.If say volks deserve a lategame AI inf upgrade i don't see why penals/cons can't have one.t-34/85 dual call in needs price increase to 140 fuel each.Katyusha need scatter buff.
Disagree with him on OKW.Puma is very cost effective and good ,not average.Jagdpanzer is not utter fail if u support it.Volks i agree with are redundant meatshields,just not sure how to buff them without screwing balance..maybe just decrease price to 220 MP.Panther is overpriced as usual,however he doesn't mention the ober and stuka which are 2 great units for OKW while he justly points out the failings of the luchs which should be moved to early tier.Panzerfusiliers -haven't used them much so can't comment.
Most agreed on wehrmacht this one dimensional crippled faction with huge early game problems to americans especially.Grens losing their reliable status,crappy mg 42,needing a pak early to put further MP pressure along with huge teching costs in manpower.Extinct panzergrenadiers,extinct FHT,paper thin a.car,and one late game tank in tiger.Teching needs to compete with usa to give an early chance.Make mg 42 suppress more reliably ,especially vs blobs and be usable in buildings.Panther needs fix-nerf useless range and penetration and price to 150-155fuel and fix accuracy.Make elefant usebale again by price aroudn 200 fuel to reflect its new highly vulnerable reality.Werfer cooldown reduction.No need to add the situation with the panzergrenadiers..i like the suggestion that they get some armor until they upgrade shrecks..once they do that armor bonus is removed.This will prevent powerful shreck blobs and keep them usable as AI units in this blobbing era.Main problem with pzgren is their DPS is model dependant unlike LMG squads..and with just 4 men and requiring at least mid range after the infantry lethality patch..their DPS on paper doesn't always translate to ingame effectiveness due to quickly losing a model.Even when mixed with grens it doesn't match as grens like engagements at long range where pzgrens are not worth it,so keeping them behind grens is inefficeint..keeping them in front gets them focus fired by a sensible opponent. |
super cheap teching compared to others? 'free' medic base, repair station, or aerial and anti air emplacement for teching up? ability to get to vet 5? being able to build super annoying wire that has to be crushed by medium+ tank?
Teching can only compensate the early game and help them keep pace coz we all know even with teching they won't have res actually build the units.What is the excuse of 250 fuel worth panther every unit without increased effectiveness?
What sustains crippled OKW after initial teching help?
Thats right super units and vet,once super units are gone OKW permanently crippled..thats how faction designed.
