Thread: Help - Germans agains double US BAR blobs28 Jul 2014, 03:57 AM I don't have that many trouble with us blobs once i have lmgs. Key i get 3 or 4 gren squads and one mg 42 always work in conjunction.Tech asap and spend all muni to equip as soon as possible whole gren force with lmg 42s.Now supoort with mgs and a pak and 4 lmg 42 grens can take on any us blob. Things to remember in blob fights- Keep an eye on front units when a gren get down to 2 members consider retreating it immediately. Do NOT move..if ur moving after the battle has begun for more than 2 secs ..mass retreat or lose squads. 3 these encounters usually take place at mid-long range both sides wanting to get best out their lmgs.U have 2 aces up ur hole- 1)MG 42 2)Rifle grenade.They never notice this if the gren on the back fires it and it will properly placesimply put win u that fight..its ideal for mid long range fight. OKW Build Order28 Jul 2014, 03:48 AM This strat becomes far more effective if u incorporate the mg-34 into it.It controls rifles better and reduces dependance on sturmpio.Especially after the very early game once he has 3-4 rifles and sturmpio charges don't work.I find machine guns essential to holding back the BAR tide till obers. Thread: Use of King Tiger28 Jul 2014, 03:38 AM Get it only when u see an is-2 or have a lot of resources float.As has been said its the pivot of ur army.Don't move too much and don't move too fast or forward.Slow,methodical and always supported by ideally ur allies medium armor..i always support my allies king tiger with pz 4s.Lacking that 2-3 volks shrecks squads at least.Raketen insufficient. Thread: Lienne Forest28 Jul 2014, 03:26 AM I actually ban this map as ostheer after katyusha buff.This and ettlebruck. This is what u need to do - Early focus on the town side..here german mgs can be easily flanked it has a vp and lots of points.ur job is to garrison the town and creep here.Ur rifles will beat grens in the town and even sturmpios from buildings. The forest area vp on the right has no imp res points and is low priroty. Focus on town and try to catch german forces in a pincer one from town and one through the middle VP. Lategame howitzer carriage and jackson spam. 3 Jacksons across the river on the mid VP will stop ANY german heavy armor cold.Ur targets are bleed and take town VP and res ,and creep mid VP which trickeir as mg deployment is easier. If u have a soviet player its much easier maxims on the town.Then katyusha across the river.GG with isu-152 or is-2 to shield ur jacksons.Ur motor howtzer carriages will give great service in town and in creeping mid VP. The difference is that StuG have no health or turret or armour, AT guns are slow as balls and can be infantry wiped, and 50 range is only useless if you're criminally incompetent Oh plz,just see thats actually what bulk of ost players do.Stugs and paks combo or pz 4 paks into tiger.Not the glorified meatshield that is the panther that can't kill shit due to its DPS.Cover stgs or p4 with paks and far better results.Why pay 175 fuel and tech costs for defence only shit tank that also useless vs infantry? No 50 range is useless when u need a spotter making it useless offensively,when ur accuracy is the butt of jokes and when ur competitors are fast enough to make it irrelevant by closing unless ur fighting on a closed lane or defensively,for which again i'll just get the pak with support. So keep ur bull to urself.Guys like u float out these worthless attributes range and pen to keep this unit extinct while OP costeffective E8 and t-34/85 are perfectly fine.Nerfing both its range and penetartion would change very little to the actual battlefield effectiveness of panther..just take away these xcuses plz.Its a glorified meatshield ,and mobile defensive cannon thats all.Nothing more. Thread: Allied Medium Tanks Overperforming/too spammable?27 Jul 2014, 14:35 PM Exactly panther can only be used in kiting role in defense.Its a useless tank hunter to anything over vanilla t-34 and shermans,needs spotter mostly superficial range and penetration,worst DPS,shit accuracy especially on the move and has to flee from the first at gun or bazooka. Range and pen ,and tehse words like sniper tank are just excuses of allied fanboys to keep panther extinct.I will use a pak and stug as sniper for its DPS thank you.Anything less than an is-2 can handle easy and more reliably.And for is-2 it comes late enough for tiger and not many use it. Fix panther accuracy,nerf range to 40 coz its useless,and pentration lowered to 200-220 and price 155 fuel. In: COH2 Balance
