Riflemen are better than they were last patch, the main issue is they need to be at close range to be effective early on, but once you get them some veterancy they improve quite a lot at all ranges.
I really don't think there's any issues, I mostly play USF and I feel like any buff to Riflemen would once again destroy balance, they are in a good spot. |
actually no , CE have been buffed with patches, they have the same weapon as cons but 2 less man, would u immagine if the same was done with pio and the ass green mp40 instead of the water guns they have now ?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think they tried this in the past and it made them a little too powerful so they nerfed them back down again. |
Eh, I think they're OK. Combat Engineers are in a similar position, they're not meant to be frontline combat troops unless you give them a flamer, in which case they have no issue getting vet. Giving them a minesweeper is essentially relegating them to a support unit status only for repairs and building bunkers, mines, etc. as well as scouting for mines before an advance. That's the role they should play with that upgrade. |
If retreat is removed, we need to at least have an option to reverse it like other AT guns so that it doesn't have to turn around every time you need to move it back. |
I think the reason they are 25mp to re-enforce is to dissuade spamming them as an alternative to riflemen. If they were say, 20mp re-enforce again, spamming 4-5 of them at the start of a match would be somewhat viable again.
The RE is in a good spot though, just get them into a building at the start, or in green cover, and give them a BAR or a pair of zooks if you need AT. |
They're supposed to be, they aren't meant to be anything other than a supplement. However, get some zooks, or a BAR or two on them and get them some vet and they are quite a decent unit. Still squishy, but they can at least do more than just be a support / repair unit. |
I would advise anyone voting no to play Axis a few games and then think about it again, because I did, but then I decided to see what the fuss was about and play some Axis and I really understand why it's problematic right now. Wipe potential is far too high. I just don't know what you would do to nerf it exactly, maybe more spread or something. |
Another option is to go the stormtroopers route, in that they don't spawn with the FG-42, but you need to upgrade to them when they land for no charge, so that there's a slight delay in their DPS. |
Agree with most of what others have said ITT; Ostheer stock panther is fine, but the command panther is the real issue. In my experience right now panthers are pretty well balanced against their counters (Jacksons, Su-85, Firefly). |
