Suggestion to reduce the British 17lbr anti-tank emplacement to 14 population from 20 population.

That's all.

Apart from that and the eventual nerfs to British tanks which they will receive probably because of all of the complaints about them being cheap, I also strongly believe that the mortar emplacement needs to be replaced by a mobile mortar team and the mortar emplacement itself become a garrisonable (by mortars, and yes, it's possible) defensive position.

Other than that the complaints about the emplacements seems to have stopped, for now.

14 is still too high. 12 pop at the most IMO.

Even with the lower pop I don't think I'd ever make it. It's way too fragile, and gets wrecked by pretty much everything except small arms fire.

It also can't shoot through buildings, but has brace, but is never used because useless.

It's pretty much the only emplacement that's not ridiculous simply because it can't nuke infantry or counter its counter aka Bofors Barrage. You can walk up nearly anything to it and kill it with its best counter probably being other ATGs. Furthermore, it can actually be flanked, unlike the 360 Bofors murder machine.

It deserves less population and maybe a slight fuel decrease.

17 pounder get outrange by the jagdtiger. even with lower pop cost, the 17 pounder is still screwed if the okw decided to bring a JT out.

Definitely find that interesting that Tanks outrange the stationary emplacement. I wish this could be looked at in some way.

It's non-doctrinal.

There is absolutely no reason to decrease its population or cost relative to the PaK43, when the PaK43 is far easier to destroy, and requires a doctrine.

There is no comparison.

Its an emplacement which is rarely used already. A pop reduction and maybe a slight reduction in fuel would be helpful. The pak 43 no doubt needs some love as well. These two units do not have to be carbon copies of each other but need to be balanced and useful to the game... which they arent as of now.

27 Mar 2025, 09:34 AM
Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
27 Mar 2025, 09:32 AM
Rosbone: To be fair, it was a thank you to early fans right? They said it was not free for long and it would become a pay DLC at some point.
