[OKW] Possible alternatives for the MG42 call in

What would be the better ability/Unit to replace the MG42?

Strategic Diversity || Experimental

Developer Comments: The MG42 HMG Team from the Fortified and Luftwaffe Ground Forces Doctrine will be replaced with another existing Commander ability. Both Commanders will remain as they are in the current Balance Mod.

First, GJ for using common sense and getting rid of that idea. Let's see what would be the best alternative then.

Infrared Half-track.

OKW already has too many non-doc toys. Easy maphax + affordable suppression are going to make it impossible to stage an attack against them.

Let's limit that combo to the only two commanders it was possible to begin with.

Though an attractive option, it is highly unlikely to happen as they don't have the 3d models for OKW vehicles.

Seeing as how MG42 is a 1CP ability swapping them out for higher end stuff doesn't seem logical.

Fortifications - For the Fatherland - Defensive Oriented buff would make sense.

Luft. - I'd say Recoup Losses to help offset Fallshimjaeger MP bleed. The Sprint ability from Encirclement would be neat too... (though maybe OP with StrumPios lol)

That does not justify going for the most garbage abilities either.

I agree with the Recon Plane, Fortifications could just use Flames to burn out fortifications <444>3 Or A normal Tiger

I hate all of those suggestions.

Only one that makes sense is Hulldown for Fortifications.

Recon plane for Luftwaffe would work well.

That's a neat idea. Or maybe the Sturm Officer.
Call-ins spice things up. Infantry call-ins have unique voice acting and models. Adding them to more doctrines in a world where 8+ doctrines are norm is only reasonable to #represent them properly.

luftwaffe: recon loiter, luftwaffe supply drop, or a bombing run like the il2

fortifications: hulldown, spios can build tellers/riegels, lefh (please lelic xDDD)

A regular Hetzer would be great for the defensive doctrine theme. After all that vehicle was created for defense/ ambushes. Just use the Flammpanzer model and change the firing animation. I would prefer this over any purely copy pasted ability.

I sincerely prefer the MG 42 but if it has to be removed...

Luftwaffe Ground Forces: probably the best option is the Ostwind, though a 251 would also be nice (I suppose luftwaffe used half-tracks to carry material/personnel).
Fortifications Doctrine: I would like to see a Hetzer tank destroyer, we already have the flammpanzer 38(t) model so it shouldn't be extremely difficult to add the Hetzer. But flares, advanced salvage, early warning, Goliath or even a 251 would also be a good addition.
