all i know is: if they introduce another faction i'm going to be playing it, because: i don't know about you guys but prisoners shouldn't be the bulk infantry of any army, that's laughable.

I had a guess for what was the "next phase" about a year ago when we were graced with the tour of Relic's studios. We all signed an NDA so ofc we are sworn to secrecy about what we saw.

If there are "2 new factions", they will probably be a new soviet and german faction (like Pz elite from vcoh.) If I were to guess, they would put in Panzer Elite and a defensive Soviet faction. (soviet version of the British)
For the record, the Sherman was used by the Soviets in large numbers in certain units. The 1st Guards Mechanized corps was completely outfitted with Shermans (mostly 76mm) instead of T-34s in 1944.

Whilst we wait, here's a story about the wonders of the Sherman's tracks, somehow in the fighting IIRC around Budapest an entire tank corps was moving up when its advance was completely halted without a shot being fired.
After some grumpy calls from the Kremlin it was found that (somehow) all the rubber in the Sherman's tracks had melted, rendering them inoperable. The problem was given to the US technicians who kept an eye on things and a solution was rapidly found and replacements put in but interesting story none the less...

I'd agree too. The inclusion of another Allied factions would probably attract more players to the game and increase it's playerbase. Good in a marketing standpoint.
