The forgotten unit of last tournament, unfortunately he was not built once despite the complaining he's better than obers and will break the game.

What does everybody feel about him? Personally I think he's still a little underwhelming early game, especially vs Ost sniper that has a field day. (There's not an allied four man squad more vulnerable to snipers)

I would give him thompsons with clone Pgren StG stats and be done with it. Or maybe give five man starting and juggle around stats.

Then you could look at adjusting Tommy moving accuracy if people are still crying about that.

Oh no, my super specialist assault unit wasn't picked in a 1v1 tourney, that means it's garbage. Please buff it so it's a must build every single game with how OP it'll be.

This is the exact logic you use for gren buffs and have done since before the tournament

Only now you admit ost are viable

Never asked for straight up Gren buffs in combat. Grens are already super strong with LMG42s.

I have not seen all game so I have to ask, are sure it was not built a single time or are you just guessing?

(I am under the impression that I saw the officer used in one game at least)
I was actually hoping that ShyphonX would once more save the day and provide stats.

What does everybody feel about him? Personally I think he's still a little underwhelming early game, especially vs Ost sniper that has a field day. (There's not an allied four man squad more vulnerable to snipers)

The problem with officer is not that it bad but that it is a much better option to go bolster and spam IS and by the time he is available he no longer needed.

And that bring the original argument for design him, that UKF are having problems because they lack an QCB unit, to rest.

The unit does not need buff. The way to make actually useful is to lower the power level and make it available earlier.

Something like price to 240-270 and performance closer to A.IS with incendiary grenade instead o the light gammon and reckon flight removed.

Erm, he is not supposed to fight snipers or generally be present in areas where a sniper can fire at them. It's a close range squad, and at that it does a good job imo. They also vet up quickly, so starting out with 4 models doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.

I dont think he is bad but its difficult to sqeeze him into the BO

Also, when it comes down to CqC its beneficial to use Sappers cause one will desperetaly need their vet2 later on

I don't remember everyone who played Brits in the tournament, but those I do remember, namely Kimbo, Seeking and Noggano, were more like parttime section abusers than serious UKF players.

I hope in the next tournament we see players like Aimstrong, HelpingHans and Ashablois come up with more creative army compositions for UKF, perhaps with inclusion of the officer.

Combat wise I find him balanced and maybe a little MP bleedy due to no Camo. Personally every time I get him I mostly just regret not using a doctrine with commandos instead lol. I think if he got camo at Vet 3 or smoke grenades then he'd be in a good place. One caveat is that his Recon pass ability is super useful for some doctrines like Artillery and Mobile Assault for spotting for Arty or dropping offmaps which not a lot of people consider building him for I think.

I think it's okay. It just highly depends on the map and commander choice. It seems a little squishy for a CQC unit at vet 0. At vet 3, it is really good.

Seemed fine, coming with comparable cost & timing to pzgrens. Never going to beat StG44 volks behind sandbags by rushing them, which is also fine. LMG grens I can see getting in trouble but that's grens for you.

Please do not get double bren for them, it ruins their dps profile as 2+ ppl end up sitting back doing little with piddly smgs. Do not do this.

I like him, mainly as a supporting unit. He fits well into a lend lease build and his inspire abilty combos well with assault sections. The non-doctrinal plane is good against snipers if you need it as well. Using him as shock infantry will lead to disapointment though as they tend to bleed bad. Also it helps to speed up an engineer to get a snare off.

I get him when I need recon and didnt have it availible in a doctrine, at vet 0 he is awfully squishy though, seems to bleed like nothing I've ever seen before but as for use after vet 1... I've not a clue as I usually just use him for recon and protecting at guns etc.

His kind of on me ability is really godo however and shouldnt be overlooked, gives sprint and I imagine DPS buffs(?) which can be useful against MG's.

As people have pointed out though he is in a very awkward tier. Id suggest tier 0 and see how that plays out adding/ removing certain things along the way to ballance him out as at the moment, by the time you have teched up you dont really need a CQC unit as much as you would have early game, and he is just awkwardly shoved in their.

i find some success using it, recon is very useful as u don't have many tolls for it, tho i would add sprint at vet2/3 it so it can get close

Hard no to officer in T0. On me at the first few engagements vs Ostheer MG play would be game breaking.

A new unit was not used in a recent tournament after it was added?
It sounds to me that players didnt want to experiment with it but stick to something they know better, like the buffed IS.

But in the eyes of an allied whiner its because the officer its UP (COMPARED TO IS OF COURSE)

His officer charge reduces received accuracy and increases accuracy but doesn't break suppression. It's not bad for being free but doesn't feel super strong in the way of swinging engagements.
