It was always kinda funny and sad at the same time, to see that neither Sega or Relic consider CoH2 as a project on life support by the community. And its recognised as a strong title.

Even if it wasnt that hard (and usually its quite hard) to transfer game to x64, it still took some time and efford to do so.

Still we didnt get any new content in terms of unlocked mod tools, new models and so on.

Hell, bringing new models\sounds\commanders are for sure easier then making x64 version.

This is honestly completly wrong examples you are giving. Comparing to other arty units to stuka is pointless.

Other rocket arty all works the same way = if you are closer, you are deadlier. If you shoot from close\mid distance you can garantee that your shots will count. This is the learning curve for other arty units, possitioning and timings when to shoot.

B4 is a RNG dice roll meme gun, which shouldnt be in the game as it is in a first place.

Artificial learning curve is stupid concept. I can start custom game with cheatmode, shoot it dozens of times, see on which arrows first rocket lands, see its pattern and use it afterwards.

Stuka learning curve is prediction and timings. Its salvo markers are just an unintuitive and non-userfriendly bullcorn, which wasnt even intented as a balance feature and learning curve I garantee.

as a viewer, i like rng, i like abandon vehicle. They are so low percentage now, leaving it on will add flavor.

Live sports have rng, bad referee decisions, lots of variety.

Its not a flavor its a gimmic which might give you win\lose based on the dice roll, without any controll.

Competitive games do have RNGs in it, depending on the title. But you know what the difference between good and bad RNG model? Predictability.

Poker is totaly RNG game it its basics, but its still competitive, because you can predict what your opponent might have\what cards might be on the table and so on.

Any digital card games, if they are done right follow the same model, where you can predict what cards you might get based on cards already in your hand.

CoH2 excample. Out-of-control shooting. There are 3 possible outcomes, lets say they all have same chances of happening. You know that out-of-contol is common. Based on it, you can continue moving when you see out-of-contol or continue circle around enemy tank.

Abandon very rare mechanic, becased on nothing, cant be predicted, cant be countered, cant be prevented. In non-ideal situation, yes, it has no impact. In ideal behind front line situations it can cost you game.

Problem is abandon was a game mechanic on realease. It was much more common and happened much more often then it is right now. Thing is game worked differently.

Right now abbandon is a rare mechinc that was never removed because "reasons". You cant predict or controll it, it just happens.

I wont count situations where abandon happens in the middle of the map, because chances that you gonna get back\cap are quite low.

But for excample, If I want to trade my tank for a much more expensive or important target. I know that I will lose this tank but will be able to destoy enemy hight value unit.

And abandon happens. Behind enemy lines. Either my tank is abbandon now, or enemy hight value target gets abbandon and my tank gets destroyed.

Considering that abbandon is very rare, I see no reason to even count it as an outcome and do not trade off. But it still might happen. If it will then GGWP rng won game.

This is where the problem lies. Its not predictable and not persistent mechanic that can litteraly fuck up your\enemy game, just because it exists.

On the other hand out-of-controll shooting is persistant mechanic and happens quite often, I know that if I see out-of-countroll I should back with my low-HP armor or I should keep distance.
