One thing that might help would be to remove the 25% received accuracy penalty MGs and other setup teams have. That penalty was added before the small arms lethality changes to make flanks more effective. With the increased lethality of small arms it isn't necessary anymore. The American M2 MG mistakenly had a +25% accuracy modifier instead of a 25% received accuracy modifier and players didn't even notice until Cruzz found the mistake in the code. Now that the mistake has been fixed we hardly see the M2 anymore. In: COH2 Gameplay |

If the Raketen is going to keep it's current range it needs to have a 5 man crew at least. Tanks just have too easy a time killing the crew before it can do much damage. A 5th man wouldn't completely solve the problem but it would help make the weapon a bit more survivable. I still believe that Panzerschrecks should be moved to Sturmpioneers, they already have lines for them anyway. Move them to Sturms, one on a squad, maybe a faster RoF to make them more dangerous since there will be much less of them. Give Volks an SMG or AR (not as good as PG's or Sturms) upgrade and dirt cheap Panzerfaust that only does health damage, as a deterrent, no crits. Some good ideas there. The early damage without crits Pfaust would actually be a better counter to soviet M3 play than waiting for a shreck upgrade and praying the soviet player doesn't know he can push around the shreck squad with the M3. Might need to tie the Pfaust unlock to building the first building to still allow a period of vulnerability similar to how Grens need T2 tech to Pfaust. In: COH2 Balance |

easier idea from this is that Inf in sectors that are cut off cant us ammo abilities. While tanks and vehicle move slower and also cant use abilities. would make cutting of point have a lot more meaning. How is fighting in a cut off sector any different from fighting in enemy territory? It just seems confusing that in one instance vehicles would be subject to penalties and in the other they wouldn't be. If the goal is to make cutting off an enemy more valuable than it already is then pop cap would probably need to be tied to territory control again. That way a cutoff would not only deprive an enemy of resources but also potentially the ability to reinforce a large army. In: COH2 Gameplay |

Instead of causing caches to only provide teammates with half income wouldn't it be easier to just evenly divide the income provided by the cache between all teammates? For example in a 2v2 each player would get 1/2 the income of the cache, in a 3v3 1/3 the income, and in a 4v4 1/4 the income. That way the cache would take roughly the same amount of time (some rounding might be needed) to pay back the MP spent across all game modes and subsequently contribute far less to the resource inflation seen in larger team games. I really really hope that isn't true, what a truly terrible way to make a strategy game. As I said before, Relic employees have in the past bragged about not allowing the balance team to touch new commanders until those commanders are released. That is the exact reason why for the first two months after release the Tiger Ace was ridiculously OP. Whether that is still the case I can't say but I certainly hope relic has learned their lesson lest we see the arrival of a King Tiger Ace. In: Lobby |

It might be possible to code plane crashes so that once the plane is "destroyed" by a flak hit it keeps flying until out of bounds then crashes. That way crashes still exist but won't wreck your entire match because of bad RNG. In: COH2 Gameplay |

FYI the time it takes for the plane to arrive and strafe your target is related to the direction you call the strafe in from. The closer the distance between the border of the map the plane arrives from and your target the sooner it arrives. In practice this means that if a target is in the south of Semois and you call the plane in from the north it will come from the north and take a while to fly across the entire map before strafing it's target while calling in the plane from the south will result in the plane arriving from the south and strafing it's target nearly instantly after it arrives from the south. A very simple and basic way to implement F2P in CoH2 would be to just make the vanilla factions F2P in multiplayer. Players who want to play the campaigns, ToW missions, or the AA factions would have to buy them separately. The drop system and option to purchase commanders and skins on steam could remain the way it is now. Whether F2P is the best way to go for CoH2 is another matter entirely but it would at least help grow the playerbase. In: Lobby |
