Tbh I sleep on that ability too much.
I just like being able to hammer out a Pak howi super fast.
Agree. Whatever anyone might think about any previous hilarious posts of mine, I think this is pretty much potato potahto. Arguably, being able to field units faster allows for just as much flexibility and mobility as "on me". |
well, I'm hot off a losing streak in team games. I'm not that great as a player, but I've also noticed one commonality in my allies, that consistently leads to our defeat. Here's a tip for free : MOVE.
There are all kinds of posts on here about "what kind of build order should I use?" "what's the DPS of this thing versus this thing?" None of that crap matters if you sit there the entire game and wonder why we're losing.
That's it. That's my tip for all the people who make posts about what to do to get better. If you win an engagement, move. Take the territory and move up, or build obstacles. If you fight off the enemy, they now know where your MGs,mortars, etc..are, so guess what ? Move. If you see an MG, for gods sake, go around it. That's called flanking.
So the bottom line is: learn how to move aggressively and dynamically.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. |
I really hope that when you say that the captain has an ability that no one uses, you're not talking about "supervise". That ability has won me many games by getting stuff out at lightning speed for the entire game; I basically just leave him at base to supervise. You just have to remember to switch him so he's supervising the appropriate building. |
well, it seems like you don't have a purpose of fight. You have to gain something by your fight, you don't spread out your troops before defeating the enemy. Like you said, they will just circle you easily, and your rifleman can't work as a combined force
On the contrary- as you said, I don't fight for no reason and my original post states that I avoid fighting in the early stages in favour of capping. If necessary, I try to group units together, but I either get outgunned or outcapped. I've played a few more games since this post, and I do need to get better at being everywhere at once, it seems; which is a change from team games where you mind your own area. |
Sorry to vent-
What the FUCK is up with random team-mates right now ? I get maybe 1 game in 10 where people are decent or at the very least won't quit at the first setback. It's always been an issue but never more so than now. I know the answer is play with an arranged team, but come on people... |
sounds good, thanks for the advice |
Follow up question: is it better to tech to LT first ? I got accustomed to teching CPT first to support my team, but having my own MG earlier might be more useful |
Hi everyone,
As the titles state, I'm looking for help in playing 1v1. I am more of a fan of large team games, but it seems to be more difficult now to find games where people don't drop or suck even worse than I do.
Also, I wanted to hone my "personal" skills, rather than relying on teammates to help out. I prefer to play USF, since I prefer to play aggressively, but I have lost every single one of the 1v1 games I've played so far.
Granted, there's obviously a learning curve, but I am being outplayed rather badly. I will say however, that there seems to be much less toxicity in 1v1 games.
I just can't seem to keep up with resources; capping and maintaining my control over them. I'm not blobbing, I'm spread out over the map, avoiding enemy strong points and capping around them. Nothing seems to be working. I usually play Airborne, or Infantry (or whichever has the rangers and pershing). It's not even a contest; I just get pushed back steadily until I finally just GG.Mostly it seems to be against spam of some kind- MGs, SPs, or Ostruppen.
Any help is appreciated. |
Nice...thanks for all the advice ! |
To be fair, we did get out-played...our opponents had time to set up the MG/Pak walls to protect the sturmtiger. Still, I can't believe that this game has a vehicle that can fire a tactical nuke horizontally. |
