I've only seen this happening a couple of times in streams or replays and it's because pf terrible RNG. Ballistic weapon wipes are far more annoying. |
You know what coh1 multiplayer would look like without steam now?
You realize that if not for steam, all you coh1 fanboys would have is a singleplayer and comp stomp?
Now look at EA, Battlefield 2 for example.
You can still get it and play on steam, but mp servers were shut down dead long ago.
CoH1 still having mp at all, being an old game is quite an achievement already.
Actually, you can't buy it anymore and that's the fucked up thing. I don't wanna go off-topic anymore, but EA shut down the best BF game in the series (my opinion) just to milk us annually by developing shitty BF games (BF3 was meh, the rest are total BS. Even the new star wars game that everyone is going crazy about, is TOTAL.BULL.SHIT.
vCoH is still alive after all these years, and you can't blame Relic. You can blame them for CoH2 as much as you like, start threads, rage, you have the right to do so. vCoH is where it should be if you ask me. |
For tanks yeah, but is it for ostwind for example? or 222? I think they also have reload.
Autocannons have both RoF and Reload. |
RTS games are dead.
There are games (game) like SC which are, at least for me, very boring.
There are games like Blitzkrieg/CoH which keep playerbase not becasue they are awesome but because they are about WW2.
I took a break form CoH2 and switched to other games but not RTS becasue there are none.
But when I look back, my god...
Cossacks 1, Battle for Middle earth, Warlord Battlecry III, Age of Empires.
Damn awesome RTS.
Yet currently, 15 years after Cossacks 1, we don't have ANY rts which would be so huge and complicated like cossakcs 1.
True. And the reasons are quite simple. RTS is exclusive to PC, and not many people like to play hard-to-master- RTS games. Add some RNG and you have something appealing to a small proportion of gamers.
RTS games are also not very easy to design. You can spew out CoD bad BF games left and right.
Someone mentioned Golden Age of RTS, I'm gonna go one step forward and say Golden Age of PC gaming. Steam saved us, but are far from those days. |
Good job mate. I think this would be great for new players if you keep it simple, as we all know that this game is quite hard to master and a lot of people (including some of my friends) just quit after getting their asses kicked a couple of times.
+1 to growing the player base. |
There was a pretty big thread about it a few months ago.
My argument against it was similar to australian magics, but I also noted the disadvantage of not knowing if your opponent still has a unit.
example: get elefant, and if you manage to destroy all the enemy vehicles, get refund and spam p4s and ostwinds, your opponent pretty much has to play like you still have an elefant somewhere until there's enough reason for him to think you refunded it.
I will say though that I do like the idea, but I feel you should get an adequately small amount of resources back given the advantages it gives, getting 75%+ back for example would be awful.
Good point, but again as I said, I would like to have it solely for the Popcap, and maybe (just maybe) a small refund, like 20% of the whole price. |
I don't know why no one has ever brought this up until now. I 100% agree with this. Hell, I would even withdraw my units only for the popcap, let alone resources. +1 to you sir. |
No because axis are so Elite and kewl. They are the only ones Who get all ze nice stuff
Dude, stop with these semi-sarcastic smart-ass looking posts. Despite its flaws (Whole emplacements are UP), 17pdr has a very important feature, its crew can not die, and also its arc.
With the abundance of indirect fire and 1-click doomsday abilities, countering a PaK43 is not that hard. PaK43 is fine. |
I know 2 Germans, one speaks with a very British sounding accent, and one with a very Australian sounding accent. One a result of learning English with the aid of British media, and the other a result of the person moving to Australia. It is probably true the stereotypical German accent isn't common anymore, because with the world so inter-connected they now learn the language, and the accents, by copying natural speakers rather than exclusively from books and educators.
This is true, my uncle's wife was a German flight attendant, she could speak with 100% American accent (north).
I think the major factor in the accent is not the pronunciation of Ch, Sh, R or other vowels and constant, but the stress on any given word. If you want a good sounding "accent", you have to change the stress. For example, "Strategy" and "Strategic", almost all non-natives pronounce them the same "ES-TERAA-TEGEE/ ES-TERAA-TEGEEC" [ˈstratɪdʒi/strəˈtiːdʒɪk] which is incorrect. Even if you listen to our beloved casters, Luvnest for example, despite speaking English fluently, you can guess he's German based on subtle differences in word stress, and also small pronunciation differences like the constant V.
Anyway, the amount of unused material is too much! Gren sandbaaaaaaaags! |
The Forward HQ gives a +50% damage boost to anti-tank guns, so if that stacks then it will quickly turn it into a one-shot anti-tank deathray. It's a multiply_add operation rather than multiply, so each stack adds another 50% of it's base damage (80), so 160 -> 240 -> 320 -> 400 and so on.
QFT, waiting for Cuddletron to notice this. |
