Yeah the list seems to be wrong, 5 and 6 are not part of the preorder.
Me too, maybe it's for people who pre-ordered only one army. |
and Relic pls make unit icons, HP bars more visible and bigger like in CoH1

@inverse
Thank you very much for explaining all that in detail. I have never thought about packets per second and their differences between different game genres. Thanks for the links, I will take a look at them.
It's very sad that a game like this and a great company like Relic can not afford to do such things because of small player base. I hope someday they can actually create a CoHO like game with a lot of players so money won't be a problem. |
My connection is inconsistent so I can't comment on that, but I have not noticed any performance changes, still the Pre-patch FPS despite having a somehow good PC. |
Sync hacking is just like maphacking in that it's impossible to prevent without adopting a pure client-server model, which is impractical for an RTS. This is because each player's game state is stored on their own computers, and Relic has no control over what happens on a user's machine. Sure, they can implement memory restrictions and add integrity checks and stuff like that, but at the end of the day they really can't stop a user with physical access to a machine running their game from accessing elements of it held in memory. Detection, rather than prevention, is the key here. Relic has shown they can detect maphacking through battle servers; here's hoping they can do the same with sync hacking.
Thank you for your in-detail replies, very enlightening. But why do you say it's not possible for a RTS game to calculate everything server side, Like MoBA games. Someone told me it's impossible because the huge amounts of calculations like destruction and dynamic cover, but the same thing happens in games like Battlefield. |
That's why I believe a Tiger commander wouldn't do such a mistake, plus the Fury seemed to have double a Kingtiger's armor in that movie!! lol too unrealistic anyways!
That's 1944 dude. Most of those guys were under-trained. Newbie tank crew, Newbie pilots, young soldiers etc etc.
But I wished there were some P4s and Stugs in the movie. E8 could easily kill them and that could make a good scene. The final scene was "American Heroes Kill All Da Enemies" kinda stuff. Those SS guys had Panzerfaust since the beginning why the hell did they fight till night and there officer was like "Ok now that we have lost 100 men let's finally use those fausts". Last scene was disappointing, but the movie was good in general. |
Volksgrenadierre are on the line.
Oh well, you are right. I am not even remotely familiar with German language, but I thought since Pioneers actually say "Pioneers" or grens say "Gerenadiers", then Volks are supposed to be called Volks grenadiers. But your justification is right. Thank you. |
OKW commander says :"Volks Greanadier ARE on the line" instead of Volks greanadierS are on the line.
I don't think "Gunnery scan and identify" is mistake, although gunnery is mostly used for ships or something. |
Realistic as GARDEN |
Very well written and discussed, some of them are a part of the bug list and some of them are not, I suggest adding the rest to the list. Although your points about bugs are valid, I would like relic to at least consider your balance notes for the next patch.
One more thing, has there ever been a discussion about unit crushing with tanks (specially shermans)? That thing is annoying.
PS: I have not noticed ANY performance changes and the game still freezes and I have the same FPS as before, and my PC is good, Not high end but good. Pathing is still terrible. last night my teammate lost 2 Shermans because of the broken pathing, you should be able to rely on pathing specially when you play USF because you have a lot of units to manage. |
