Although you are right, I am more concerned about late game USF. If you do not finish the game fast in some kind of shock and awe tactic, you are pretty much done for. I think a small buff for Bazookas would make it possible to deal with medium armor, but Jackson still needs more penetration to deal with late game units.
The only major problem IMO is, as you said, both MG and AA HT are in the same tier. So if you want suppression, have to sacrifice AT and go LT and either rush for Jackson (which any decent OKW player will rush you with a Luchs) or get a couple of Bazookas.

It's my favourite USF doctrine now. Got to top 300 in 2v2AT with just Armour Company. Trust me, it's quite good. I think it is what a doctrine should be; one that supplements your forces instead of becoming your force.
Exactly, specially in urban maps like ettlebruck station those assault engineers shred everything and they have a lot of utility. Sherman dozers are also great agaisnt blobs. |

I do agree with everything you said except the call-in meta changes, I don't think limiting is a good option. I think players should be persuaded to use different tactics by making them viable. For example as Soviets, if you have good late game units you would not wait for call-ins, or as Ostheer if, as you suggested, you go T4 you would not need a tiger.
About other units I agree with your statement, although I have to say there are a lot more units which all need changes (Panzerwerfer, Brumbar, SU-76, all MGs, etc).
It so sad to see people saying "Relic will ignore everything the Players want and Keep the retarded meta. Threads like These are hopeless.". And you know what? They are right. Every single patch we wait for that big change but... well let's wait and see.

MG´s that kill?, thats like COH 2 BETA where maxims killed 1 model of a gren squad in 1 burst, before even suppressing them on the second burst
Maxim still kills more units that other MGs, but all MGs are kinda useless right now. Just change them to their previous state. Even with scouts they do not perform well. |
Maybe... Just maybe the the answer is just nerf KT, or buff jackson and SU-85. KT is not invincible I know that but you need a lot more effort to take it out than your enemy needs to hold position. |
The amount of people suggesting to buff cons is disturbing. Cons do really well, especially against Wehrmacht. Against OKW it's a bit tricky due to the idiotic Vet 5 system and Obers (in that case OKW needs to be reworked not the cons). With the use of sandbags they are viable till the late game aswell. The Conscripts themselves are fine, it's the PPSH-41 upgrade that sucks. I'd rather have a dedicated close range Shocktroops squad with more survivability than a Conscript squad that only deals damage at point blank range after the upgrade.

When was the last time u saw a stug?Even pz4s are shit now.Cost a huge amount of teching to get to which u can't afford.Then either get bullied by soviet call-ins or e8 or 3 shotted by jacksons.Bazooka blobs can deal with quite effectively as well before vet 2 which is rare.
Only good units in ostheer t1,t2 and t3 are grenadier and mortar.
Pak is ok.Rest are overpriced,fragile or incapable of doing their job.

I kinda agree, but StuG and Pz4s are good, in fact Ostheer's late game is not bad IMO, but you pretty much have one option which is tiger. T4 is not worth it. But the biggest problem specially Vs USF are grenadiers. As mentioned above, because they have only 4 model, after losing a model yoi lose a lot of firepower, and besides that incoming fire is focused on other models so they die even faster.
Ostheer need some big changes. As an ostheer player you must do very well if you want to win a decent game vs USF, there is no room for error. |
