This is not a problem regarding USF, Whermacht is the issue. We all know that HGM42 is worthless, and grens have their own issues. So they have to buff Whermacht's early game, specially crowd control and suppression. |

They have had this problems since... before DoW. They make fantastic games, but they don't know how to get the hype up (or don't want to). I don't think it's Sega's policy, because they've been like this in the old THQ days.
Although NDAs are essential parts of every game developing company or even Indie game makers, I think they are taking this to another level. CoH2 community is different. Small player base who know each other, very giving community which runs sites, polls and helps the devs in every way they can etc. I don't know what are they afraid of, like are we gonna start a riot if they don't release "promised content" or something? Other big companies give false promises on a daily basis and nobody cares.
This community has stood by them in their ups and down, when THQ was on the top back in vCoH times and even when they were facing problems. As a small part of this community I am kinda offended by their actions. I don't know what else can we do to convince upper management to change their policies even a little bit, but I think the community has done more than enough.

Grens get wiped too often because they have to stand still to do decent damage, so it's Whermact's liability. Pack howie is not very effective against OKW because their blob does huge damage on the move. |

But to be honest, personally I wouldn't care about the money I spent if the game would turn F2P. I've paid maybe 40 euros in total and I've played 500+ hours so.. let's just say that the value for my money has been good.

Totally agree. I have played the value I've paid for, and if it means more players, more content and more support why the hell not??
Some companies have made these decisions before, like Valve did on TF2. I know that we can't compare valve and relic and the game genres are different, but I think if they do it right, it would be better for the game and the community in the long run.
Main issues would be giving old players some extra content, and never ever go down the road of P2W. But again, if done right, F2P means more players resulting more content, more patches, more Esports event etc. |

Also learn how to perform kuble rush and how to micro it well. Suppress with Kuble, do some damage with volks, pull back and do that again until you have a great army of vetted volks who devour everything. |

That' the point mate, OKW need an overhaul, if they simply remove shrecks then volks become useless. If they give volks AI weapons they become Ubers No.2. They can still lock down huge areas of the map, they have some useless units (IRHT, Sturmtiger). IMO, Volks should get G34 upgrade and Pzfaust ability, proper AT units (either huge raketen changes or PAK) and nerf obers. Maybe change the flak base a bit (Muni for flak). It's not that simple to balance this faction because it's different. The only thing I want is to see relic at least try to fix it. Let's wait for the next patch. |
As I've said before, OKW is not OP, it's broken. Meaning that you can use cheesy tactics and lose units and resources and still win the game. It's not that certain units are over performing. They have put some broken pieces together and you have OKW. Some units are useless (IRHT, Sturmtiger) and some units do insanely well together. Super heavies are also problematic.
I think for balancing the faction, we need an overhaul and change in the meta. I don't wanna start a balance thread, but the game flow should change. Things like giving Volks AI weapons and removing shrecks, give them proper AT and panzerfausts, nerfing Obers etc. If you simply nerf a few units, the faction becomes unplayable.
Long story short, OKW play style and game flow is broken, not actually OP IMO.

What i don't understand is if relic is understaffed or unable to fix things due to pressure,why doesn't it involve community members who will do it free?Give them objectives,let them tweak things u can't be bothered urself,test them..then scrutinize the final thing urself.Overall guide the process,but let community provide manpower - so vision is urs largely without need for much additional work.
This is exactly what Valve is doing, community makes something, test it and then they simply implement it in their games and everyone is happy. They are mostly cosmetics though, but we have people here with great ideas (commanders, maps etc.). They have done this with maps, but things like commanders, skins, even units can be created by the community. Valve even pays a cut to the creator, but I think we can find people here who will do that for free. I think it's up to Sega to decide. |
