I have seen this a long time ago, unfortunately I don't have a video for proof, but I have lost my own engineer squad due to mine explosion right after they have done placing it. There was no fire fight nearby and I was placing it behind my lines. |
This happens too often for me, first I thought it's because I use a USB headset, but it seems that everyone it experiencing this. I have already lost a few decibels of my left ear on other stuff, don't wanna lose more playing this game. |
Well that's good news for SEGA. Even if they stop playing, they have already paid for the game. |

Yeah I get that, I just feel that lmg34 that they carry when dropped makes any unit carry it a mini Ober aka vet 3 conscripts, which is a bit wrong that one weapon can turn units into terminators. The whole units damage output practically relies on that mg34, I feel that the squads damage should be distributed better and not reliant on the mg34, as well as the Obers not just being a 4 man sniper squad.
I agree, the LMG34 itself is the problem. Its DPS is two times more than LGM42 as far as I remember. Reduce it significantly to like 30-40% of the current damage, and increase Obsers accuracy a little bit, or even don't increase their accuracy. Just stop the sniping. |
-They are probably not gonna change the unit set up in tiers, this is not alpha and it's VERY unlikely to see changes like this
-I think its better to buff bazooka rather than making it cheap. It should be a viable mid game counter against medium armor.
-USF needs more AT power, increased Pen makes sense to me
-Jackson needs some love, I think a little HP increase, or even acceleration increase would be better though. It has paper armor already and even with +15% armor increase it's not gonna stop panthers from penetrating (and IMO it should not deflect shots) just make it a bit more resistant to rushes because USF does not have support units like Schrek blobs to counter tank rushes
-+1 for upkeep reduction.
-Bulldozer is not that bad. one lucky shot and the whole blob is gone. It also frequently decrews Paks and Ratekens.
- Changes on schreks and heavy units are needed, specially super heavy nerfs. I would love to actually use a sturmtiger or IR HT.
-Bunkers and specially S-mines are game changers! I would always transfer muni and try to build a few mine fields. Does wonders.
-I think Luftwaffe commander is terrible. MG34 is needed (although UP), FJs are OP early game and the rest is not useful.
-Ostheer tech cost reduction +1
-Mgs need some love, all of them.
-I think stug is fine, specially in open maps.
-increased pop cap for russians? No way.
-I think -20% reduced received accuracy at vet 2 or 3 would be better. They die like flies.
-SU85 needs increased accuracy.

The explosion is stupid, we have all seen those RNG insta-booms. Make it explode only if the unit is hit from behind and not that often.
I'm not sure about CoH2 but back in vCoH flamethrowers actually did more damage to units in buildings or green cover. I think this should be implemented in CoH2. They can also change it in a way to act as counter blob weapon so CEs and Penals (specially penals) would be the unit of choice against blobs. Some changes like AoE infantry reaction or even small amount of suppression. |

Well, I thought that removing the Retreat Point is unlikely, and Ostheer is getting a doctrinal retreat point (which will cause a lot of problems), the only thing that might give Soviets something to compensate is to buff Conscript merge. |
Moreover, we already got leaks that wehr might get FHQ with retreat point, so that leaves only soviets without one in the future.
Why not buff the mighty squad merge? I use it a lot as soviets and I think people forget it exists. I always have a cons squad just to reinforce my support units.

i can see the jackson going one of three directions without becoming OP (cue relic on the 4th that doesn't really work...).
1) reduce damage and increase pen
2) increase pen and increase reload (still RNG dependent and could be frustrating)
3) increase pen and cost
any of those would make it better against heavies without making mediums any more hard countered.
Well it is still too fragile, and USF does not have power full support units like Schreked Pzgrens or Volks, so a good rush will finish it off easily. they also can not spam mines like other factions. But they can increase its cost a bit if that turns out to be a major problem, remember that it is supposed to be their late game AT counter. I would love to see Option one. |
