I think you are talking about the Single player campaign don't you? You just have to play and kill enemy units so your squads become Frontoviki then Penals. Just call in Conscripts and kill enemies with them. |
This. The 4 man HMGs don't need more suppression, they just need to be able to stay on the field long enough to actually deal their suppression.
And... and they need better burst mechanics. Sometimes the first burst duration and the pause between burst is not enough to suppress infantry so the can easily take the MG or your supporting unit down. |
Although I agree that maps are unbalanced, I think it's not gonna be easy to fully balance them. If you want a 100% balanced map, it needs be symmetrical (Like most C&C maps) and that's not what they want for CoH.
I think we need modders to create balanced versions of maps, maybe start a thread here and talk about them. I don't know if anyone has ever done that. |

Btw, Pzfaust seems great for OKW if you remove Pzschreck and give them something else like PzB rifle. But I don't know if they ever do that, Relic seems to be very stubborn when it comes to changes like this. |
1) I think they should drop it on retreat, either retreat fast or suffer.
2) All kinds of grenades should have huge range nerf when the unit is suppressed, specially rifle grenades.
3) No comment, should get fixed.
4) Maxim is the most powerful HMG IMO, not because it's good but because the rest are shitty. Soviets can TROLOLO with their maxims, walk in your MG and suppress it. Suppressed MGs need huge suppression reduction, not only for maxim.
5) There is a good thread about 120mm. It's very effective and essential against OKW FlakTruck rush and blobbing, but that does not make it fine. Sometimes it underperforms and sometimes (specially in smaller maps which you can barrage from your base) it nukes squads. Needs tweaks not nerfs (increase AoE, reduce damage or something like that). |
I got another question guys. Those intel bulletins. Do they only work for the commander they are assigned too? or do they work across the board?

I don't fully understand your question. Bulletins are applied to the units, if you can call a unit in (like Shock Troops) and you have the proper bulletin, they gain the mentioned stats. |
First of all, stop arguing on Rifles and bars or COHO vs COH. I think he meant Obers and Paras. But are game breaking, at least paras are doctrinal and they need an upgrade.
There has already been a buttload of threads about the blobbing problem, but IMO MG tweaks are needed for all factions.

Actually, while they are capturing following your command (clicking on the flag) they are not counted as idle, but when you just leave them in the capture zone, they are considers idle. Just wanted to clarify. |
If you think raketenwerfers are bad, you need to spam more raketenwerfers.
On a more seriuos note, raketenwerfers can get a buff if volksgrenadier shrecks get nerfed.
This has been suggested before and it kinda makes sense. They can't remove schreks because OKW heavily relies on them, but of they tweak pupchen and give them fauste, a lot of problems can be solved. Even PzB AT rifle upgrade can be good to counter light armor. |
