Last night I had a strange bug where I purchased the Company Command Post base upgrade, but the building did not construct or become available. It did research in the HQ and take my manpower and fuel, however after it was completed the upgrade button simply greyed out with an unusual requirement apparently entailing "No other upgrades". I can only assume that means I had been caught in Company Command Post upgrade limbo, not having it but not being able to purchase it because I had already purchased it.

It has been said that it can't be done because, they can't create any new models. For me, that just shows a lack of imagination.
If it were up to me, I'd create an SU-100 by using the SU-85 model and giving it the Tiger Ace treatment: a special & distinctive skin, a unique icon and modified stats to reflect its higher performance. Alas, I lack the modding skills to make it happen.
But where there's a will, there's a way. Any modders care to take up the challenge?
It's not really lack of imagination, the SU-100 had a much larger gun and some modifications to the superstructure like a sponson on the right side where the commander's copula was installed. It'd be easy to make an SU-100 from the SU-85 model, but you'd still need a modeller to do so. |
Naaaah. Their current weapon profile and camo do not allow the true SNEK* style gameplay. They are currently better at facerolling in masses.
They actually do, the FG 42 is more lethal than the MP 40 even at short range, while maintaining more damage than an StG 44 at mid to long ranges. |

Between Volksgrenadiers, Panzerfusiliers, Obersoldaten, Sturmpioneers, and Jaegers, it feels to me like OKW just has too many infantry units. I'd like them reworked, but there just isn't a role that's not already taken by at least 2 other units. That said, remove the Panzerfaust, it's from a time when they were the only unit to have it. |

Well that's when you choose how to build your army, you can go Conscripts or Penals, and if you go Conscripts then you must supplement them with doctrine troops or PPSh. The 7th man is not an realistic strategy at the start of the game because you're still over ~150 fuel away from that.

The matchup between the T-34 Model 1943 and Panzer IV Model G was like this:
The T-34 has some 90-95mm effective armor due to slope to the Panzer IV's 80mm (50mm + 30mm), but the F-34 main gun is outclassed by the KwK 40. The Panzer IV Ausf G still held the advantage by a couple hundred meters, but was outnumbered.
Now add the T-34 Model 1944 (T-34-85) against the Panzer IV Model H and it's a different story.
The Panzer IV's armor gets a minuscule improvement as it is now a solid piece rather than a 30mm plate welded to the 50mm glacis. But now the D5-T gun far outclasses the KwK 40, and the Panzer IV is now out-ranged by a thousand meters and outnumbered.

Little time to react + easy to wipe with = OP. It has wide and long AOE, kills any infantry on the way and stuns vehicles, kills LVs.
On the edge of the map, you can't get out of the run even if you retreat right away. AT guns also can't get out.

That's wrong. IIRC all models on infantry squads should be 1 pop each, while the squad as a whole has a different popcap value.
Ex: An Ober squad with only 1 model occupies 6 popcap.
Oh do they? I must be out of date then, it didn't used to work that way. |
