sadly, running into range against all these lmg is still suicidal. but rifles better at close quarters will help somewhat.
wehr in coh1 also did not have vehicle snare, which made schreck *THE* AT support weapon of the army. considering that, having schrecks was far more valuable than an lmg upgrade. schrecks also took up a single weapon slot which gave a choice to the player, boost to anti infantry or AT capabilities.
now, there's no alternative to lmg upgrade which makes it a no brainer upgrade.
Yeah and Grenadiers in CoH1 could stand up to all non-assault at any range, Riflemen, Tommies, Rangers, killed 'em all. They're really not comparable to Grenadiers in this game who get mopped up by Riflemen and are equaled by Conscripts (until upgraded). |
Too expensive, why do I have to pay 280 for an MG that functions about the same as all the 240 MG's? Ever since they fixed the accuracy bug*, it's been roughly on-par with an MG 42, except more expensive, on an already manpower hungry faction. Even before anyone knew about the accuracy bug, it was not a heavily used unit.
*For anyone not aware, the accuracy bug I refer to is when the M2 had 25% bonus accuracy (more accurate against enemies) when it was supposed to have 25% incoming accuracy (the crew takes more damage). |
Because players, especially axis, constantly bombarded opponents base and wehr howi could have 100% shooting uptime with 12 shells.
Love how you blame the Axis even though both sides get howitzers and both sides used them to bombard the enemy's base. |

In real life, some Jagdtigers held their fire for fear of giving away their position and being destroyed by an airstrike. In game a Jagdtiger can fire free with nothing to fear, because most artillery is either easy to dodge or too weak to do sufficient damage. |

It's incredibly slow; easily flanked; 13 CP and by the way costs the equivalent of well over 300 fuel.
I think it's fine as is. Given the aforementioned cons, nerfing it would make it go the way of the Elephant (i.e., the Dodo)
Half the problem is that on narrow maps, there is no flanking. The entire map is the front line and there's no alternative paths or routes to go around. Like the above example, Rails and Metal, there's no room to flank around, you have only the Middle, and the sides of the Middle. There's no far left or far right routes, to go around, so it's a battle of attrition and OKW are excellent at that. |

Perhaps in one of the most frustrating displays of RNG I've ever seen. OKW captures my heavily damaged T-34, one hit from death. I send a fresh T-34 to be the executioner. He has it parked in a field alone, essentially a 1v1 in a void. Every shot I fire misses or bounces, every shot he fires hits and penetrates. Out of pure frustration, I go to ram. The tanks collide, mine explodes and his survives. |

Kubel's stats are now it's previous incarnate, the only difference is it kept the range and arc of the new one. |
