Hmmm. Commando's at 500mp is gonna be a tough pill to swallow now. Sure their performance was absurd, but so was their cost.

This seems like a really interesting change. If I'm not mistaken what it means is that the pak howie and LEIG will arch their shots significantly higher than they currently do. As a result it is likely to take much longer for the round to arrive when direct firing the gun.

That sucks, I already hated out they shot directly up despite their barrels not going that high. Might as well just replace them with Mortars at this point, there's no difference except arbitrary suppression.

That's because it uses the wrong circle in the UI. It's more accurate than the Soviet Mortar which uses a much smaller circle. |

Armor buff to the 251 is all I want, it shouldn't be made of paper while m5 is bulletproof. Plus 320 health is plenty. I can agree with frontal mg buffs. Perhaps even suppression at vet 2.
Agreed, it's weaker than the OKW versions, which all have consistent armor values. Funny thing is that means the Stuka has more durability than the Ost Half-Track.

Other than vaulting, you're smoking crack. The COH2 UI is so incredibly bad vs the original, reversing is a joke now and vehicles dance like they are having an epileptic seizure when you use reverse when in vCOH it was easy just to shift click back up.
The UI is mostly personal preference, of course players that played CoH1 for the better part of a decade would prefer CoH1's UI. I would agree with reversing, according to Cruzz vehicles consider queued move orders complete if they get within 25 meters of it, that needs to be reduced to at least 8. The pathing is a problem that people have always complained about, I went back and watched some vCoH casts a few months ago and people were complaining about the pathing then too.
Personally I rate the UI as overall superior. You get a unit bar, so you can always see the status of every unit without needing to visit them. You can reinforce large groups at one time as well, which is an invaluable change. |
I would love to see all light tanks/vehicles and even some mediums get a huge buff in exchange for a damage nerf. Currently vehicles and tanks are far too much high risk high reward, having such insane squad wipe potential but getting 2 shotted leads to bad gameplay.
I don't agree, if people want CoH1 lethality they can be free to play CoH1. I like CoH2's lethality with some exceptions, mostly British outliers like Commandos doing 120dps... But tanks takings 8 hits or more to kill just, eh. |
The T-70 is arguably the best offensive Light Tank in the game, the health is his weakness. T-70's beat Luchs in a fight, and Stuart don't match the T-70's legality. If the T-70 is given 400 health, it'll need a lethality nerf to avoid becoming too powerful too early on.
I'm against that though, I'd prefer to keep it as-is. A well preserved T-70 is a strong weapon. |
Maybe the 37mm will just lob shells up high and the shells will eventually reach the target

There's a few things they could do to fix it, not all of them are great, but all of them have their ups and downs. That's why I'm curious as to what they've decided.
Regardless I hope they don't bring back the ugly UI thing it used to have, arguably it was helpful for newer players, but it was also an eyesore. And inconsistent, other limited vehicles (notably Assault Guns) do not have that. |
I can't see someone thinking that either. I mean, strictly speaking, in CoH2, vaulting fences are basically like bushes that takes longer and uses more micro - they provide cover and infantry can go through them. If they replaced all the fences and walls in CoH1 with comparable bushes that slow infantry going through them a bit, it'd be fairly similar (though there'd be the weirdness of bushes everywhere, and bushes which provide heavy cover...)
I have no idea what you are on about. CoH1 had fences, you couldn't vault them, needing a 40 meter jog to reach a point 15 meters away was a common criticism and vaulting was an often requested feature. People were pretty happy when vaulting was confirmed in the sequel. |
