Was a bug, the same skin also applied German Late War Factory Pattern to the B-4 Howitzer. They seem to have fixed it though, so now it doesn't apply to anything non-vehicles.
I made this thread because it'd be cool to see camouflage applied to Anti-Tank guns as well, and due to that bug we know it's possible.
Relic actually does 'make' the skins. The game doesn't 'apply' skins to vehicles in the sense that the engine can just take a pattern and put it on any vehicle, which means they at some point they actually made those skins for the B-4 and the ZiS. I think they did want the camouflages to apply to AT guns, but they ran out of time or had to prioritize other things. |
I work on areas until they are complete, and then move on to the next, which most of the time is right next to the area I just completed. I just start somewhere in the map and complete it from there. |

Soviets never got M3, so why would they get it?

Well the current (or I guess old) model for the Soviet M5 isn't actually an M5 halftrack either, so....
It would be cool if they did edit the USF M3 a bit more, so that when you activate the 'Soviet' state it actually gets some of the M5's features, but I don't think they're doing that. Like I showed you with the screenshot, so far they've only removed the stowage to make it different from the Brit and USF M3. |

It doesn't, but they might still be working on it. I hope so at least. It would be pretty lame if this only replaced the half track that comes with the Assault Guards call-in :V |
I just noticed there's now an M5 Half-Track tab listed in the USF vehicles in Worldbuilder, the unit is named aef_halftrack_squad, and the model and stats are the Soviet M5 as there's no M5 in USF's models. They must have something planned for it, no idea what it could be.
It's very strange though, because the M5 Half-Track was not used by the US Army, they preferred the M3 Half-Track. More oddly, the M5 has no skins for USF, but the M3 has skins for Soviets.
The USF M3 Half-Track has a 'Soviet' state, and it removes all the stowage on the model. I'm guessing they're replacing the Soviet M5 Half-Track model with that.

Are all of you guys simply delusional ? Since when should 'cheap' tank destroyer be a hard counter to ultra expensive hi-end-game unit ? Especially all or nothing unit as OKW's KT ? Jacksons and SU's pretty much eat through everything to a Panther. They simply wreck any light vehicle, they hard counter any medium tank with ease and you'd expect them to lock out the Tigers completely as well ? Which in fact - they pretty much do, and no 5 additional range would change that. It can only be additional reward for actually managing to ambush, or flank the TD's with slumbering ultra-slow Heavy tank for possibility of that one additional shot, which in my experience usually KT's don't get to take. What about potent Allied heavy mediums ? Like they don't exist, any one of them (E8, T34/85 and now even Comet) wins against Tiger 1vs1, and your babbling about soloing the whole frontlines with one Tiger
afterall, look at the ingame description of the KT, weak against "MASSED" AT units, and after the armor nerf, even that's a fantasy.
I dare any of you biasoz, to try and play with sedated KT, against the double Jackson player with half a brain, then come back to report.

Relic made new textures for several of the Ardennes buildings too, which are supposed to be German. You can activate them for your map by setting 'default_skin' to 'Germany' in the info file of your map. |

Look man, I know you've only played this game like 2 times and only as USF, but OkW and Wehrmacht are not invincible. Nothing they have is blatantly OP. Do you think Relic makes the Axis ''''''OP'''''''' on purpose or something? How about just nerfing units that overperform, units that are OP? And also just because the Axis factions work better in 3v3/4v4 games doesn't mean you need to give the Allied factions OP shit to win. Like for example, a bofors can wipe an entire squad that is in a building in 2 seconds. Does that seem like fun to you? Or that explosions do nothing to structures that are braced? That isn't fun. |
