Why not just nerf defensive stance instead of removing it completely? It used to have a recharge time and a requirement for the squad to not be in combat in order to activate it. Giving defensive stance both of those things would make using it require a bit more thought.
Besides that, nice ideas. |
I use it almost every game because there really isn't much of a choice. What else are you going to buy? Another riflemen? If you are going captain it's either the pack or an AT gun if you want to spend manpower.
Caches? Idfk man all I said was that in my experience the Pack Howitzer is pretty good!
EDIT:
I do think that they should've just given them a mobile M2 60mm or M1 80mm mortar instead though. |
Yeah it's not very good at countering a mortar, but I've been using it every match lately, and I think it's pretty good against Axis infantry. |
What's your problem?
"I love when racist neo nazis play ww2 games and gets mad when they lose."
So basically, anyone who posts that a Soviet unit might be a bit OP is a racist neo nazi? |
I'm pretty sure that isn't exclusive to people with max prestige
What level you are in the game is irrelevant now anyway
Also, suprisingly I haven't encountered any shit-talkers in a while. Maybe they all grew up? |
I love when racist neo nazis play ww2 games and gets mad when they lose. They come to coh2 like a moth to a flame
lmao dude you're just as bad
I mean my god, think before you post please |
I think the UKF will be nothing but another Relic commercial strategy. They will be OP at the start, have cool units, in order for people to buy the faction, then, in at most half a year, most of their units will be changed or/and nerfed. That happened to OKW, same phenomenon. That happened at a smaller scale with many ostheer or soviet doctrines, that were OP at the moment of release. They were cool and OP like hell, people bought them because they wanted to win, then Relic nerfed them, but meanwhile they cashed alot of money selling them.
That is why I am not buying british forces. Because it's just another strategy to squeeze money from us, while screwing up balance. I mean it would be ok if it was just about the money, but screwing up balance for profit it's crime in my book.
Why would they waste money on an alpha then?
Not that there won't possibly be problems on release. |
The USF soldiers wear gear and uniforms that were worn around the time of the BotB and beyond. The boots with gaiters the soldiers are wearing are M43 combat boots, which replaced the older combat shoes with the canvas leggings in 1943. This was part of the new combat uniform the US Army designed (the riflemen in-game wear the M1943 field jacket which was also part of this). The stuff only actually reached the troops in late 1944 though (except for the 3rd Infantry Division which was designated to test the new combat uniform in 1943, and the 82nd and 101st Airborne divisions which were fully equipped with the new combat gear).
If the USF were designed around the Battle of Normandy then you'd be right.
Honestly if Relic does make aesthetic changes I hope they give riflemen some more gear, like M1928 haversacks, a canteen, maybe a first aid packet. And field grey grenadiers of course. |
Not really. It showed them as forced and unwilling, and thus as either suckers or victims. It was both ridiculous and spiteful.
I played the CoH1 campaign something like 5 times, but CoH2's was just too vile to get through even once.
Ah right, fair enough.
I agree it got really ridiculous at some points (the cutscenes in the gulag rofl), I'm by no means saying it's very good. |
What the Russian population found objectionable (and with good reason) is that fact that the campaign focuses on all the negative aspects of the Red Army while calling itself Company of Heroes.
Contrast that with the campaigns in the original game and even Ardennes Assault. Not a singe mention of anything but heroism.
IIRC the campaign showed the leadership being shit most of the time, not the ordinary soldiers, hence Company of Heroes still applies I think. |
