Not really. I don't know about this engine, but in many other engines, you have "Sockets" which you can "attach" different entities like weapons. They have a fully attachable and animated "Top Gunner" for all German tanks, and they just added that to 38t. Although, it wouldn't be that time consuming to actually model and animate the remote gun. Don't know why the did that.
PS: What is that written in the unit description? Effective against tanks?
I modded CoH1 for years, adding a remote controlled machine gun would just require someone to allow it to rotate, give it markers for muzzleflashes and tracers, and that would basically be that, as far as I know. You are required to do all that with a topgunner too, except you then also have to add the top gunner position itself, so this is why just making a remote controlled MG would require slightly less work. I'm pretty sure the guys working on the model just didn't realise it was a remote controlled MG when looking at photos for reference. |
The icon itself isn't smaller, the guy in the icon is more zoomed out. |
So stupid how they didnt put the iconic remote controlled mg and lazily put in a top gunner.
I'm pretty sure adding a top gunner requires more effort than not having a top gunner. |
How cute.
That is what they told me when Centaurs and Crocodooms wiped squad after squad without me even being able to do anything against it.
How is that RNG related
That just means that those units are OP lol |
Actually it would. It has become ridiculous in the US and the PC Police are out in droves. Its gotten to the point where people go after books, blog posts, tv shows....they would go after a game in a heart beat if they knew about it. Sadly people lack the education and the discipline to understand history these days nor do people understand context.
Side note: it would be cool if they made the American Army more diverse in the same terms as the British, Russians, Germans. The Germans have Ostruppen that represent their Eastern Allies why couldn't the Americans have a 442nd Combat Team call in?
I think for multiplayer they should just add a chance for RE's and tank crews to be black and give the USF squads more regional accents. It would make more sense for the 442nd's story to be a campaign, I think making them a call-in just for the fact that they're Asian is kinda dumb. |
Well, like I said in the official forums thread, I kinda get why they removed them. I think if they wanted to add them again they should also add a chance of a tank crew being black, including their models, not just their voice lines.
They could've actually made a good campaign with this too, maybe about the 761st Tank Battalion or something.
EDIT:
Actually I think the USF just lack character in their voices in general. They could've given the units some more regional accents like Italian New Yorker, Southern, etc. |
lol yes they really do
USF can equip bazookas and BAR's on any squad, their medium tank can switch rounds, USF's mainline infantry (can) have at, smoke and normal grenades, USF's armored car has a crew that comes equipped with a bazooka, a ton of its units come equipped with smoke, etc, etc, etc.
USF is versatile enough
Rangers being able to switch between bazookas and uber powerful thompsons would be OP as fuck |
if they can holster their bazookas that wud be great cuz USF needs more versatility
lol really
usf needs more versatility |
I'll explain. It's a joke thread, don't take it seriously.
Not really, the OP is just a simpleton. |
They didnt even bother to make a pic of pershing. They copied it from is2 pic.
Um
No they didn't |
