Brit commander needs to be looked at, it is a no question upgrade, which means it is over performing for cost.
OKW commander makes no sense. It gives up good AI to grant a very small LoS bonus, and a near useless arty strike. Instead maybe it should function like the Brit commander reducing vet requirements slightly while retaining LoS bonuses? It clearly needs to be adjusted to be an option, as it stands it is just a straight downgrade to the MG.

Thread: Rebalancing the Stuka Dive Bomb13 Jun 2016, 15:29 PM
Ok, from reading the posts Mr. Smith has laid out a powerful argument for why dive bomb should be nerfed (and it obviously does), and I see no good argument for why it shouldn't. Ability is so cost effective right now it hurts. Even more so on any map with ice where it can sink the weapons it decrews or maybe even a tank or car spinning its wheels. It was asked before and so I think it fair to ask again, what is the purpose of this ability? Is it to hit stationary targets (AoE irrelevant) or to punish blobs and support weapon bunching (AoE key) but provide attentive players some way to escape it. Right now I drop these near a players most expensive unit, they have to retreat, I always drop behind the unit and then they end up retreating right into the hit. With the AoE guessing the location I need to drop is trivial. In: COH2 Balance |

Having to watch a minute of screen laggy credits roll in is tedious every game, but otherwise this is a good change. Should have it reference the correct bug report when you win under 6 minutes. Should have been done day 1, too late now to change people's minds. In: COH2 Gameplay |

The limit is there to encourage normal play. The vast majority of players will never approach it, and those that will are going to be playing another day anyway. In: Lobby |

You got MG42 that didn't suppress, sniper that dies by touching sunlight, Panzer 4 that don't kill anything, Pzgren being a manpower bleed that doesn't do anything etc etc. This post is so incorrect I could not let it pass. MG42 is the best suppression platform in game. Sniper has same health as Brit and more than Soviet. P4 is good generalist, shreds infantry, gets nice vet, synergizes with many docs, and can engage heavies from rear. PG's are not mainline infantry, they fill the role of elite infantry and with changes to mines I expect to see them more often. TA is largely fine, would be ok giving the commander OKW elite armor arty. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: I don't get why Brits are still receiving buffs29 May 2016, 01:54 AM
I find it weird that you quoted me twice and responded differently to each post as if you forgot that you had already made a comment. In any case, my "dismissive attitude" was because OP had 1 post, had a limited understanding of gameplay and was making large balance suggestions which are unlikely to balance the game. You happened to post a number of reasons why the Brits are flat out "better" than all other factions, and yet they remain on the low end of 1v1 win percentages in top tier games. No one is arguing that they need to be adjusted, but suggesting that I am failing to contribute by being dismissive is foolishness. In: COH2 Balance |

Stuff OP this is your first post so I will be a little gentle, but please spend time playing all factions before jumping onto the balance train suggestions. It takes an enormous amount of knowledge and skill to balance these factions. Brits are bad for gameplay in many ways but they are also not just getting buffs across the board in the next patch. If you need help with strats go to the state office and the faction you are looking for help with. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: Ostheer vs double upgraded infantry25 May 2016, 17:52 PM
Glad this worked well for you, sorry for the slow replay, well done ferwiner. I think this a good time to remind players to try to keep a squad in reserve when they are going into large scale battles. Even a single squad can exploit any momentary openings in the line and replace suppressed or injured troops. Also keeping AT units just beyond LoS creates a real delima for tanks. Do they push and assume that the unit is not there, risking snare and death? Or do they stay back and are relegated to lower effect on the battlefield assuming the AT unit is just waiting for them around the next corner? In this way a unit out of combat can have a strong influence on the way a battle resolves. If you can afford to keep 2 or even 3 units just behind the front line to reinforce retreating or injured squads all the better, but don't build up so much behind the lines that you fail to draw your opponents forces into battle. You want him to commit everything he has so you can see all the cards on the table before deciding what to do while you still hold cards. |
Thread: SU76 Blobbing, trolling25 May 2016, 17:45 PM
You let a player build up 6 SU76's? That suggests you were losing well before that point. Use two paks, he is heavily invested in AT and even if he barrages one he is going to lose an SU76 unless he stops firing immediately and moves off. Meanwhile you can move up and recrew any lost weapon. A PG squad with shreks in reserve to move once the barrage is lifted will also be sufficient. Since your opponent is 100% complete AT I would recommend relying more heavily on infantry and AT guns. Save your fuel for when you finally wear down his numbers again. If you are really facing this frequently I would suggest you are losing the game for a long period of time and your opponent is having a real opportunity to build up SU76s. In this case an elephant will only seal the deal since you are unlikely to have enough help to protect it. In larger game modes 6 su76s are more common and an elephant is a reasonable buy to shut it down completely. Just make sure to put a pak gun behind the Elephant so when he closes the pak can finish off the injured SU's and the Elephant can deal out the damage to full health ones. |
Thread: Ostheer lategame needs a buff25 May 2016, 17:41 PM
It is not a L2P issue. The grenade is thrown quickly, and if it hits one member of a squad the entire squad could be halted. This is like saying if you see an Ost squad approaching you just retreat immediately. Also good players can throw them in retreat paths, how are you going to stop that? In: COH2 Balance |
