The Rakenten needs to have its squad members not bunch up. Without the green cover offered by most AT guns it is very vulnerable to one shots.

I would be ok with an upgrade for fausts or healing tied to the OKW HQ to avoid the problem of locking OKW into a needed med truck if they go Mech. Having said that, OKW vet brings healing so the faction need only survive until it kicks in, at which point healing trucks are unnecessary since healing occurs on retreat.

Flak truck needs some help, especially now that the MG34 is on OKW.

I still hate how the ISG functions in the game.

SP may or may not need an added shrek. Giving them double shreks makes the PGs for sure, but would help to deal with heavier vehicles. I think SP should be used only as a stop gap for real AT at this point. No Allied light tank can afford to ignore a single shrek squad when a faust is available on basic infantry. Making the rakenten less likely to be wiped by single shots would go a long way to making OKW extremely potent again.


Final thoughts. This is a completely new OKW, do not play it like old OKW. Many players I have seen continue to rely on blobs of volks and forget they must build at least one rakenten to help deal with light armor when it arrives. Build orders will need to change. You might consider getting a 2nd SP if your opponent starts to play into light armor. Right now OKW feels vulnerable to armor in a way it never has before, and that's the point. It felt very secure against all armored threats as soon as 3 volks had shreks. Now you are at risk unless you diversify your army. Having said all this does not mean I don't want to continue to test the changes. If I find weaknesses on any side I want them to be addressed to make the game fair for all factions. Anticipate large changes in leader boards, especially in large game modes where very sloppy play has been encouraged for too long.

To summarize again.

- Faust t0o expensive, teching shouldn't be required.

- The cost for medics is fucking stupid, haha.

- Give volks an alternate upgrade.

Faust should probably be in line with grens, and teching is required otherwise T1 openings with scout car would be useless.

The cost of medics is just to bring that cost in line with other factions. Why should OKW get a free set of medics? Check conversion ratios before you complain. If the cost is completely out of whack it can be reduced slightly.

Volks should function as front line fillers, not one stop shop for wins (volks blobs suck to play against so thankful they are now impossible). The AT they got was way too early and way too strong, combined with their rapid vet made light vehicle play unrewarding. In response they get a powerful AI upgrade that forces Allied units to pay to upgrade their own AI to stay on par, or get bled heavily. Meanwhile OKW can continue to tech for specialist units. Don't forget they get passive healing with vet, so avoiding the medic upgrade is doable.

OKW is a faction about specialization, use that in your assumptions about the game. I feel strongly that you do not yet understand the patch or the new OKW.

Volks losing faust is a bug, no point in defending that, it should be hot fixed immediately.

I can take a look at this latter today, I will leave it unchanged in color in case someone else comes along before then.

Just from your comments it sounds like you need to do a better job of preserving your units.

@OP, please feel free to post a replay where you feel the JPIV is underperforming. I would strongly disagree that you are getting a bad deal on the JPIV. If anything, the tank will be increased in cost or changed in the future because of its ridiculous vet right now.

Use the panther to help finish off tanks. It can wait at the edges of battle dropping a shell onto tanks that push too far and then chasing down foolish tanks that did not escape quickly enough. Its armor and speed will ensure it gets in close to finish off another tank.

Any buffs to the Panther, as Mr. Smith pointed out, would be insane because of its amazing vet. Not to mention the OKW Panther which gets even deeper vet and better stats. Be careful about making two Panthers in the game, they would look nearly identical and a player would struggle to know which is shooting at them and hence how to react.

TLDR: Panther is already amazing in everything above 1v1, buffs would decimate larger team games. If anything will happen it is the vet bonuses being moved.
