Riflecompany, Airborne company and infantry company are all very good. Armored company is also viable. All of these are viable vs both OKW and Ostheer.
Mechanized doesn't offer anything particularly useful other than an early counter to the Kubelwagen. Against Ostheer it does not offer anything at all.
Recon company is so bugged that it is not worth using at all.

The Panzer 2 luchs is fine. I'd say the correct use of this unit is crucial if you want to be competitive with OKW, simply because it is one of the very few ways you can thin-out the enemies infantry ranks with OKW. Also failing to use it properly will set you back a lot with OKW because now you are a long way away from the panther and your infantry is struggling against allied infantry and probably the first medium tank. |
I'd say it is pretty intuitive most of the time.
What units you want to make depends on the map and what you opponent is doing.
An enemy digging in on an open map can be dealt with easily with snipers, but if he digs in on a more close-quaters map it is better to add in some mortars. Rocket arty and howitzers do fine in the lategame.
An enemy using infantry-spam tactics on open maps is best dealt with by adding in a few HMGs. An enemy using infantry spam tactics on a close-quater map is better dealt with by going light om the HMGs getting more close-combat infantry like panzergrenadiers or shocktroops.
However, there are some pitfalls here.
For example, the OKW leIG doesn't do well in countering dug-in positions.
The maxim and DHSK don't counter blobbing, Allied AA units don't counter Close Air Support abilities etc.

Game might be better if AT snares did way more damage but didn't snare.
It was tried, and it did not work well. |
It is universal. Keep in mind that the 75% damage check for crit is done after the damage of the AT nade has been dealt. So a 400hp vehicle like a Panzer 2 or a Stuart will get an engine crit from a single faust or AT nade.
Medium tanks like Panzer 4s have 640 HP, so will either need 2 AT nades to disable the engine, or a hit from an AT gun or something similar and an AT nade. |
I can't make guides for the community coz They want not publish them coz it's quentin.
I think it is more due to your bad spelling and atrocious formatting. |
Good guys, bad guys, preference for a faction in a videogame equals an attraction towards fascism holy non sequitur batman. No offence man, but thats Kindergarden grade reasoning. I mean, one might just conclude that with your what, 500 axis games played you are a genocidal, antisemitic asshole that reenacts Auschwitz in his basement, while your even more numerous games with Soviets indicate your hearty appreciation of Katyn and the Holodomor. Or maybe that kind of thinking is just daft.
Also, Nazism does not equal Fascism either, the former is sui generis, there actually are substantial differences, the most obvious being the import of "scientific" racism and antisemitism in particular in Nazi ideology.
Relax dude, it's just a tongue-in-cheek comment. |

Would read again. |
People always prefer to play the bad guy. Apparently there is something very appealing about fascism. |
In teamgames you could even make M-42 AT guns viable if mark target would grant 100% extra penetration Kreygasm!
Soviet Partisan tactics and defensive tactics combo. #NewMeta2016 |
