I personally only watch and play 1v1, but that's just a personal thing, so I enjoy the match selections.
As for 4v4, wouldn't that just be insanely hard to follow and cast with eight players simultaneously playing? |
Medium tanks aren't supposed to counter Flak truck from my understanding, you should be using artillery/mortars/AT guns etc.
It's immobile so you can just bombard it all day long and it can't escape or fire back.
It's rough if they get it in a good position like a cut-off, but to do so it needed to be built which is when it's very vulnerable and a single rifleman squad could kill it (I think?) |
I'm thinking I'm going to get back into the game with WFA release, I'll have to start watching 1v1 casts to get a handle on OKW gameplay.
I'm keen to see unit breakdowns for OKW too, interested in seeing Jagdpanzer especially, I know you're not a fan of that one in particular. |
They gotta get rid of that uppity Panzer grenadier mocking his troops all the time.
"One foot after ze other kinder, ja, that's called walking!" |
I said it once, I say it again.
Guys this game is about playing not about unlocking every little piece of crap. The war spoils is an extra thing besides playing matches with friends and/or against others.
This is what Call of Duty made of the gaming community.
Everyone is crying when they don't get the Uber-Weapon-OP-88 after every game.
I agree most bulletins and all skins are just pointless little additions, but you can't deny that Commanders are integral to multiplayer. Having something that important behind a grind-wall that relies entirely on luck of the draw is ridiculous for a game that's meant to be 'competitive'.
As I said, I wouldn't mind if they left the spoils system in for commanders so long as they also had the option to buy them somehow so people who want to play multiplayer can just drop $5, get the three commanders for their faction and use them without having to wait days/weeks. |
I just want to say that the line:
"Gooooood evening ladies and gentlemen, welcome, welcome, WELCOME to another marvellous, exciting, MAGICAL Propagandacast!"
Always manages to bring a smile to my face.
Your knowledge of WWII facts are quite impressive as well I must say. |
I really dislike the idea of commanders being random drops only. I actually would prefer that they sell it as an option as well.
Think about it, it's an option that directly affects gameplay, it should be available to everyone, either through earning it somehow in game, or being able to purchase it. It's horrible to have something as important as a commander be based purely on random drops in a game that's meant to be able to be competitive.
I wouldn't mind if there was some kind of 'guarantee' to unlock XX commanders after XX hours or something, but pure random is just weird to me. |
I personally find the OKW faction to be a lot of fun. I like the idea of 'less units, but more powerful units'. Partly because I find it easier to manage a small army, and I like think that forcing me to protect those units makes me a better player.
By comparison I found US to be kind of 'vanilla' and didn't really like their system of progression.
For Vanilla factions I generally play Soviets. |
OKW have just as much trouble dislodging US/Sov units from buildings too. It's a strange choice to be honest. Volks are pretty poor, considering their grenade costs a small fortune in OKW economy, Sturms do okay if they can get close, but need another unit to draw fire to do so. Kubel Wagon? GET IT AWAY FROM GARRISONED UNITS.
I understand the issue, but I guess it's the same for any garrisoned unit. If they try to hole up and you don't have superior forces, just move away and cap elsewhere. He'll either have to give chase or leave his 320MP sitting in a building playing cards. |
For 1v1 with Soviets I generally stuck with either
T1 -> T4
or
T2 -> T3
I found that doing T2 to T4 left me with poor anti-infantry armour, and T2 to T3 left me with very little good AT options.
going T1-T4 was much more difficult for me, but I usually would do that into massed SU76 and an SU85 if I really felt threatened by armour. |
