Doesn't matter what changes, the design of the Soviets is high survivability. Perhaps it doesn't need to be as accurate but survivability must be maintained to preserve design In: COH2 Balance |

Agreed. * Publishing regular diary videos during the development? * Super early pre-alpha * 2nd alpha test upcoming * Involvement with select few core community members from day 1 * Started with a poll from 2017 on CoH 2 * Added funding and success from AoE 4 as well as engine upgrades * Relative success of AoE 4 also is good news that CoH 3 can also be a great game Really, the only reason this game should turn out to be terrible is if: A) players are dumb and don't really know what they want so when they asked for something from Relic it turned out to be bad B) Relic doesn't listen to the players Otherwise, in theory the game should be great In: COH3 Central |

Thread: USF after Balancefinders and Scotts get nerfed19 Nov 2021, 03:42 AM
So many cry babies who don't know how to deal with pathfinders and scotts. Instead of figuring out how to counter them they complain in forums so their mommy adds in a new patch to nerf them. What a terrible way to get better at the game and solve your losing problem. I've played this game regularly the past few weeks, all factions 1v1 to 4v4 and I really don't see any significant balance issues anywhere. If you lose, instead of complaining on the forum, go to the drawing board and figure out how to deal with it. Relic isn't even updating the game much anymore, so not sure why people are expecting another patch. Read what Aerafield says too In: COH2 Balance |

I will take PageP stats every day of the week over some tards anecdotal spewings in the shout box. But I get what you are saying. You mean Sturmtigers aren't OP? cuz a few game ago some dude wiped my units and I lost. In: COH2 Gameplay |

I want to point out that the numbers you find in coh2stats are just numbers and don't necessarily prove anything.
So I think it is a red flag when people use these stats to prove some argument (especially balance arguments). Practical example: Axis has higher winrate than Allies on 4v4 but Inka Tournament showed Allies dominating axis. Why? Could it because Allies only gets good at super high level play? Who knows. Thread: Don't Ruin CoH2 Assymetry11 Nov 2021, 17:56 PM
To keep it short: CoH is an assymetrical game so balance is not as simple as "...we adjusted unit X to better align with..." And all forum posters and balance modders should not ruin the uniqueness of every faction in the name of balance, because every unit is for a particular team, has different enemies, different themes, different roles in their respective factions, different allies, and different part of an army composition. Riflemen are not the same as Grenadiers for example because Riflemen face MG42s while Grens face tougher mid range infantry squads, and Riflemen are part of a mobile aggressive faction and Grens are part of a combined arms defensive faction. Thus, don't compare and balance units from different factions. Otherwise you don't get coh you get some typical rts game that most of us don't want to play In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Sturmtiger over nerfed 11 Nov 2021, 17:41 PM
No way m4 Sherman and p4 are the same. M4 belongs to a super aggressive versatile and mobile faction. It is supposed to be fast, accurate while moving and generalist. P4 is supposed to be armored and strong and defensive. Seriously if players like you keep balancing units symmetrically you will ruin the uniqueness of the units for the rest of us. This is unfortunately how many of the balance changes were cuz non-designers made them. The amount of times I read "to be better aligned with..." is all the times a unit's uniqueness was removed. For example IS cover bonuses and out of cover penalties being removed so it can be like other infantry. Terrible decision because the faction was originally designed to be defensive. So no, M4 Sherman is not the same. US need to flank, Germans don't need to as much. Not sure why this needs explanation. You're the type to say "p4 needs to shoot smoke too like m4 sherman" not taking into account that USF doesn't have a MG42 and USF is not super defensive. That's why USF has always been strong against OH, cuz smoke is good against defensive factions. That's why OKW is tough as USF cuz OKW is aggressive too In: COH2 Balance |
