Keep everything the same, increase penetration of the .50 cal significantly justified by the fact that it shoots gigantic .50 caliber rounds that would #getRekt a Panzer II in a few seconds and kill the crew inside because of shrapnel/penetrating rounds.
This way it serves as a counter to light vehicles. It's 280 MP and its a .50 cal, cmon |

Here's my idea, lets make the most innocuous and benign changes to Coh 2, especially after the negative reception to the OKW economy revamp, and the absolute circus that is 2 vs 2 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4, and make the most unnecessary, benign changes to the game that everybody will continue to ridicule our work ethic and ability to gather congruent information from a large pool of our dedicated players.

What are some strategies or units I can use to counter massive blobberinos. I ask this question because there are no dedicated blob counters in the British arsenal, at first look.
When I mean counter I mean murder, as in, not supression. An MG only postpones the invetable, how do I GET RID OF IT.
USF --> Grenades, AE demo charges, Caliope (best one), Priest (sort of), M4 Sherman, M8A1, Pack Howie, Bulldozer Sherman, you get the point
OKW --> Sturmtiger, Goliath, Stuka, etc.
SU --> Everything (lol)
Ostheer --> Pwerfer, S-mines, Brumbar, Ostwind (not really), etc.
UKF --> ????? Centaur is too slow to encounter 3-4 Volks squads and survive. Sure, Vickers in a Trench is one of my techniques, but they just retreat and keep coming. So far my best bet is the Cromwell. It's fast enough to run away and has potential to wipe squads. But obviously nowhere close to grand scale anti-blob counters like demos, caliope, pwerfer, stuka, sturmtiger, oh crap I just remember AVRE.

If you're not up to date:
DOTA and all the other moba clones basically killed RTS genre.
Players themselves being less and less demanding(the easier the game the better) and all the instant gratification crowd isn't helping either.
If you don't like SC or CoH, you have no alternative.
They cant leave the WW2 theme... otherwise the WW2 RTS genre will die.
... if it isnt already dead.

It isn't secret to anyone, it is trend of recent years, it's dying genre. Too small player base, RTS games are not so profitable like popular genres, like MOBA games, only exception is SC2 and its only cause it is cybersport.
This is sad.
But if you guys think the strategy genre is dying, than you guys are wrong. Civilization V, Age of Empires 2 HD, Crusader Knights II, CoH 2 (has a crazy amount of sales, just low retention rate), even all the MOBAs testify to the ginormous strategy market.
People still will play strategy games, the devs just need to make it right. CoH is an old-style RTS game. We need more instant gratification, more technology get with the times oriented RTS games.
There aren't many strategy devs to begin with. Oh and Halo Wars 2 around the corner

Modern combat is nowhere compared to WW2 combat tho. Like do Infantry even fight face to face anymore?
It's all about morale, scaring the enemy with superior weaponry and firepower. What happens in firefights nowadays is hours of auto-grenade launchers, WP mortar bombardment, tactical airstrikes, and suppressing MG fire.
Basically shoot until you run out of ammunition. First person to run out of ammo loses the engagement and retreats. Most of the #rekting by the military is done by air force. |
Why is this pathfinding change so detrimental to Kubel and Bren carrier play? Like holy crap the Bren carrier will never face the right way unless you hold the right click and drag for the arrow.
Using reverse was a strategy! A micromanaging sorta thing. We don't need any "assists," especially when it's artificial intelligence trying to guess whether we want to reverse or not.
Fix the more important path finding problems like... how Miragefla in his mod made it so vehicles can go through territory sectors that aren't cached. I bet that simple non-AI fix would improve a lot of pathfinding issues.
Or fix how the Kubel sometimes does 360 degrees stunts in the middle of combat. Or fix how tanks merge into each other, make it so they can't. And sometimes when you try to move your tank, the pathfinding forces the other tank to move out the way so it can move. Remove that too.

Modern Combat??? Like entire houses blowing up to grenade launchers? Like snipers going through three walls? Thermal vision, and like...INDESTRUCTABLE M1A1 Abrams!?!
Not with CoH mechanics. You'd need something different... like World In Conflict or EndWar (I loved EndWar... till the community died) |
