If its the case, then its most likely due to top players during tournaments rarely pick soviets, most of the time they pick UKF\USF. I didnt see relic post win-rates for automatch anyway. Not like, I'm saying soviets arent weakest allied faction, not over-all weakest, but I would like to see win rates. You can compare pick rate of factions between pre patch and post patch. Most of the players are the same and we have completely shifted from going SU/USF and OKW to USF/UKF and OH mostly. The distribution for allies faction is not as bad though as before (no one picking UKF) while Axis has arguable shifted more towards OH. As far as automatch stats, we have Syphon thread. Thread: XP values30 Sep 2020, 15:03 PM I agree with @Sander. A xp value/vet is overdue, but at this point only if it improves the game and doesn't require many post adjustments done. What i mean by this, is that just like with reinforce cost, the xp value should be proportional to the cost of the unit but take into account exceptions like for units with low damage output vs unit cost and those who benefit from shared vet. If anyone is gonna make a list of unit xp value, put besides them the unit cost and if they get shared vet or not. Ex: i'll use the engineers as an example. (Values might be wrong if the extractor is not working correctly and someone tell me where is the squad cost value (i can only found the model value in EBPS)) RET: 50mp 200mp squad 320xp CE: 42.5mp 170mp 340xp Pio: 50mp 200mp 400xp RE: 52.5mp 210mp 400xp SP: 75mp 300mp 480xp As reference, Gres: 60mp 240mp 480xp As you can see, in most cases reinforce cost is equivalent to cost of unit divided by model count and divided by 2. This put the overall xp value to 1mp = 2xp Going back to the engineers, the outliers are RET, RE and SP. RET is easy to know the reason, because they used to cost (IIRC) near 160mp and the xp value was never updated. Each AA unit has x chance to DESTROY any plane. Units like Ostwind have a higher % but since they shot less the actual chance is far lower. I think Mirage once tried to change it in either a preview or personal mod but it never made the cut to be implemented. All single pass planes are pretty much impossible to destroy in a real live game. Period. In test scenarios you can have the AA unit perfectly aligned, with vision of where it's coming from and no targets blocking it from firing. There's plenty more of single pass planes, though they are not use at all. It's even worst with recon/smoke planes cause there's a bug which i have reported like several years ago that planes that provide vision will provide vision towards a direction on the map while they crash. Good luck stopping people from recon + offmaping your artillery pieces. On 1v1 and in a lesser way 2v2, having a dedicated AA unit is a luxury which you pay with mp/fuel/popcap. Calling an offmap is a 1 click wonder. If things like mines and demos get hardcountered by the mere presence of a minesweeper i don't see why AA units shouldn't be doing exactly the same. It can bring down planes before the have the chance to fire once or reveal any section of the map. If one bring all AA weapons to Quads performance might as well remove most planes abilities from the game because they will be a waste of munitions and wasted commander slot. Kill the AA units first and then use the offmap. Single pass planes most certainty delivers their payload and recon planes provide enough vision on top of been bugged after death. It's called counterplay. PD: i wouldn't mind if the range of mobile AA units is reduced. In: COH2 Balance

I would rather see them more affordable early on, but less powerfull shifting their AI via some sort of upgrade or maybe as a passive T3 unlock. I think, macking them faster to get, might make them a bit too strong for teamgames. I belive smoke barrage would be better, I think soviets in general can benifit from having more smoke options, considering stock mortar is meh and only other source of smoke are shocks, which have shared cooldown on nades. Tbh its pefromance against planes is badshit broken. If anything it should be toned down to Centaur lvl, because it just deny all air-based call-in the moment they are in its range, making them completly useless. Maybe some sort of a speed boost for quick flanking\body blocking which gives temp slow after usage. The changes are thought in combination not isolation. The increased cost in CE + upgrade offsets slightly the slightly faster build time which is there to not be as behind in map control. The changes is in the realm of a couple of seconds, which will matter more in 1v1 than teamgames. I don't believe in removing features when possible. If the abiliy is good, put a price accordingly. Planes are batshit broken, not the AA. Specially in terms of "effort" required to deploy vs countering them. If you want to use planes, take down AA first. Most if not all single pass planes achieve their objective before they can be taken down. So AA is mostly used to counter loitering ones. In: COH2 Balance

The Guards/Shocks/Weapon Upgrade/None and IS2/85/KV1/KV2/ISU/None choices are still way more game changing than the other factions doctrine choices. Interesting changes.
