Wait, seriously that's your reply for this thread?
What? You think there's one soviet player who's upset and is just making accounts to spam unjustified claims in the forums?
I think they browse these forums. When you hear them on streams they say they spend a lot of time on the forums per day reading what's going on.
As they haven't been shouting grenade I've found that it is a lot harder to dodge a riflenade. The Soviet telegraphing is a lot more obvious in that the conscripts will run up and one of them will visibly light a bottle and work up to a throw. The german riflenade guy crouches down a little and fiddles with his rifle (which most of the models will do while firing anyway). Once it's in the air it's too late same as the molotov.
And I agree, I have had to even lower the resolution to get it to run on my comp and it's murderous for trying to notice midgame grenades (against soviets it's better because they telegraph rather obviously).
I always use the Anti-Infantry doctrine in 2v2 as my teammate goes Guards. 3 Conscripts, Molotovs then Shock troops call in into tier two is a deadly combination. Build an AT gun or a mortar then an AT gun from tier 2 depending on his fuel supply and tech AT nades.
You can build 2 AT guns but I tend to tech tier 3 and start building T-34s and one M5 HT. Putting shocks in the halftrack and going capping / stopping their counter harassing is brilliant-and you can reinforce from it.
After one or two T-34s get a KV-8 out and it's endgame.
Don't build a maxim, if you want an MG go get one of his. You have shock troops and if you flank an MG with shocks while conscripts are coming down the front then you will get that gun almost guaranteed.
It can completely wipe the table with soviet tier two play, especially guards motor (120mm) with tier two in it. The Incendiary rounds will devastate his weapon teams while his mortars really cannot hit back strongly at the mortar HT.
I might even go so far as to say that if you see a T2 start from a soviet player then a commander with the MHT is definitely one to go for.
So I've been experimenting with the ambush ability from Jaegar doctrine recently (for ImperialDanes Sunday Challenge), and it doesn't seem to work.
It's a bit expensive to have to upgrade for every unit, and apparently there's a damage bonus I have yet to see (and Gwehr 43s seem pretty shocking compared to LMGs though I have not had too much time to compare); but the main point of the topic:
I can't get all the men in the unit to camouflage. Ever.
They can all be in green cover (or look like it) but one will never ever camo in a 4 man squad. If they're down to three it can be done but never the 4 man squad in it's entirety. I kind of hope relic will make it so that if one member of the unit is in cover then the squad will camo because at the moment it makes a hard to use ability pretty useless for me (I've tried to get them all to camo in several PvP games, and literally all game of several vs AI matches to test it).
Am I doing it wrong or is it really temperamental?
Oh, and I've also had them run OUT of the cover on seeing an enemy unit when they were (mostly) camouflaged anyway.
I think what the OP is saying is that you pay through the nose for a precision strike on the 120mm and the shell often misses by a mile. I've personally had this happen at least 3 times. The other mortars precision strikes all land perfectly.
Yeah, exactly that. It's a bit of a pain in the ass and it would be nice (though when I think about it rather brutal for the damage and AoE) for it to be fixed.
I'll certainly try and use these more often. Would anyone recommend on how to use them the most effectively in conjunction with mines?
For example should you place them before the mine, the same square as the mine, after the mine or nowhere near any mines you've planted but just put these down instead of mines? Any ideas?
