The strength of the t34 is its unbelievable cheap fuel cost of 80. It's the easiest medium to spam, and it deals the same damage as every other medium so it's very good at flanking and killing heavier opponents before they can take out all of your t34s
Fuel cost is great, but what do you think of the manpower? 300 is pretty hefty.
Also I'm glad the popcap has been lowered to 10, I am torn on whether it could be. Aren't StuGs 8?
In my experience (subjectively) I've found the Comet struggles to face off against Panthers. It really is hardly better versus infantry (lets be honest, you were going for the crush anyway) and it's more expensive and locked behind one half of Brit tech.
I would have hoped it would pen a Panther reliably; but again that may just be my experience.
I agree with OP. It is very hard to play axis in my opinion, and even what he says is not going to cut it in response to how OP the Brits (and allies in general) are against both factions. There really is only one way to balance things:
Move all Ostheer units to T1
It's really unfair to not have the counters you need readily available. Ostheer struggles without having all it's units available. As we repeatedly say: this is a combined arms game!? How can I play combined arms if all my units are not readily available to me?!?! Ostheer in particular is about combined arms and Ostheer players never blob, the army just doesn't have the capacity; so this is important and would really benefit the faction as a whole.
Remove all teching beyond BP1, put all units into T1 building. This will improve combined arms play and allow Ostheer to better counter these OP shock unit plays with the proper application of appropriate units.
T34 pop cap should be brought down again. They raised it back due to overwhelming numbers, isn't that the point? StuGs are only 8 I believe and fantastic TDs. If not speed should be increased or a reduction in MP cost.
A KV-2 change would be beautiful.
It would be interesting if you could put the small soviet AT gun in buildings. Wouldn't make it better really though.
Vet 1 T34 ability is fine I think and great for Soviet Industry. Need to change for IS2/KV2 etc.
I would like to see an answer from GoD_Lee or any from relic team. KV2 and soviet indstry really need love

I think they look at things and change them, they rarely comment on these forums from what I see; they don't want to get mobbed. Maybe they also get sad whenever someone calls them Lelic

It can do wonders in big packs of 6-7. It really relies on pushing an enemy off the field and chasing him to his base, then crushing as many of his squads as possible before pulling away with as many as you can. You really do rely on having mobs of them.
It's still strong with Industry, but they really need to lower the Manpower from 300. I'd hoped for an 8 pop cap T34 for ages but they reverted it before I even got to try it.
I quite like the 76, they're really dirt cheap and with the pop cap decrease you can royally spam them. Shame they have been reverted from 8 pop cap to 10
It's always easy after a battle to catch an enemy off guard, anti tank strafing one of his spread out tanks while you distract him elsewhere. I've done it and had it done and it is really annoying, knocking out an enemy IS-2 or getting one of your tanks as Brits finished can be a game ender.
Also found a real piece of joy in team games recently, I guess you can use it anywhere but especially with CAS. We went against a team that would use smoke pots prolifically to hide the red smoke drops for AT/AI strafes.
They're doing what looks to be a great job with Partisans and swapping Irregulars out! I'm really excited to have a bit more impetus to use them again and hope to see more changes to more commanders in the near future.
