ELDAD aka Paranomia has been playing since release and after 5000 hours of coh2 he is still terrible at everything except BM. You should be thankful for the entertainment he provides, there's nobody else quite like him. |
If your sniper is stealthed, he'll only automatically start attacking against targets that go above a certain priority threshold. Because this priority is generally reduced the further you are from a target, and is also reduced by any turning that the sniper needs to do to engage, at max range none of the three snipers will start firing automatically unless they are staring down the barrel at the enemy squad.
It could be that previously the wrongly set penetration priority flag on the ukf sniper made him engage any targets in this situation, I'm not gonna waste time testing because that isn't coming back, his behaviour is now consistent with the other two snipers. |
Placing a very much biased poll with two polarized real options and two joke ones in your supposedly "constructive" and "non-biased" thread doesn't really instill confidence in your claim to be after such things.
Given the two options, I'll vote Good. I have plenty of issues with how Relic works, but at the same time I recognize they have given the game more than the industry average support is. |
Tommies, Sappers, Commandos, Sniper gain an additional *0.9 modifier to their received accuracy while in light or heavy cover.
Is this additional modifier negated in "point blank" fights?
Are the bonuses of abilities like "For the Fatherland" "Advanced Cover Combat" negate when in point blank fights?
No, only the weapon cover table entry is negated. That is to say, the attacking unit will not use the corresponding cover table entry for its weapon when at point blank. No abilities in the game modify these cover table entries, so the effect of point blank cover negation on a given attacking unit is the same regardless of what the unit being attacked is.

According to the terms and conditions ( http://legal.relic.com/war-paint-terms-and-conditions ) to which you, as a player, agreed to:
In order to be eligible for the Tournament, participants must adhere to the following requirements:
not be legally resident in any countries currently under sanction by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury to include: ... the most up-to-date list is at http://www.treas.gov/offices/enforcement/ofac/programs;
The Russian Federation has been on the list since the annexation of Crimea, so in actuality neither Noggano nor Jove were even allowed to sign up. They did anyway. So even if the Vancouver milestone hadn't been hit, if Relic actually followed their own terms and conditions they should've been disqualified anyway. |
it has to be top players. watching WPC, many people who spend a lot of time on the forum might be surprised to many, many of the strategies deployed by the top players. a great example would be the games where barton relied on rakentenwerfer and ostwind to beat shadowada and almost beat Jesulin (or did he barton win that game)? the two units that are time and time again regarded as "UP", "trash" or "useless" were Barton army's backbone and it challenged even the biggest names in this community.
Ostwind and raketen blob is the strongest, most meta OKW tactic since 2 years ago. How do you turn this around to be praise for Barton for using UP units?
If you saw someone use OKW in a tourney WITHOUT going scavenge, that would be news. |
Make America Great In COH2 Again Von |
Made an updated version, moved generating all text to the javascript side so now you can select whatever target you wish for the calculation, and I added the 5 major cover types as well. Probably should start actually thinking about what to do with the UI. And also about getting someone to host the file because google is discontinuing website hosting on drive in 7 days.

It's only this quick in heavy cover
Type of cover makes no difference for cloak speed, and you will always have instant cloaking upon entering cover if you are only firing after your unit leaves camo.

People keep telling me sturmtigers can't vet up. Silly them, all they need to do is kill a couple of tanks and the veterancy will come down like rain. |
