Thread: ISU-15226 Apr 2014, 14:43 PM So the new gameplay of Germans is to only go for the two Elefant doctrines now? Cool. Totally not boring. The coolest thing however is seeing the guys crying the loudest about the evil Tiger Ace being totally okay with a Russian super unit that can wipe squads and tanks alike. Every decent player will park it behind the front line, wiping every unit that tries to come close with few shots. The Elefant can only fight tanks - and even then it misses half its shots. The ISU is great at fighting both. In: COH2 Balance

ISU will be seen only in longest game and by the time it arrives you should have a wide array of counters to it already. It was buffed, but its still far from invincible, 2 panthers will make a short work of it. Noticed something? 2 Panthers is 350 fuel now. That´s not cost effective. In fact there is no cost effective counter versus it. At guns and PG´s will get wiped. Panthers don´t work very well and will go down quite fast now. And god forbid you went T3 as Germans. StuGs get almost oneshot killed and Panzer IV isn´t effective either. Blitz is useless now. Options now: Elefant or "GG". In: COH2 Balance

Because it was quite agreed on that there were too many quad wipes and this caused problems. WHy would anybody buff its anti infantry even further. Also if it´s anti tank performance is buffed, then there´s no way the anti infantry should be also buffed - you know, exactly the reason, why German tanks don´t have their superior range for example: Balance. If it´s so good versus tanks and infantry now with squad wipings everywhere, I don´t see a reason why it´s reload shouldn´t be increased drastically. Right now it´s totally retarded. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: ISU-15226 Apr 2014, 11:10 AM Just played one game versus it. I don´t see any nerf to its anti infantry potential at all. Two of my PG squads were one-shot-killed. Right now it seems that you have to choose the Elefant every game or die. And that´s boring. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Is Relic using some Formulas for units statistics?25 Apr 2014, 22:25 PM In case you didn´t notice: For balance every German tank was tuned down and every Russian tank was buffed. Panthers get penetrated on a standard basis frontally by 85mm guns while KVs from 1941 deflect 75mm guns. ISU-152 and IS-2 fire as fast as Elefants. Su-85 having more range than their German counterpart. And so on... In the last patch they overdid this with StuGs dieing like flies not even deflecting 76mm rounds frontally. To answer your question: The statistics of the vehicles are totally random and made up. Don´t expect any consistency there - it´s pretty much double standard. In: COH2 Balance

Sigh... Why would you flank if most shots go through the Panthers front anyway? What was it before? Half the shots of the Su-85 went through, now most russian guns have more penetration and the Panther gets less armor at vet2. The thing is just a larger Panzer IV now. Panther gets only 10% more armor (instead of 30%) and + 160 health (the now standard health of the Panther) at vet2. In other words Panther veterancy is shit especially vs better Russian tanks now. Thread: April 24th Patch Notes Discussion 23 Apr 2014, 20:57 PM Still think vehicles having different damage was a nice thing. 240dmg on the IS-2 was awesome. Why change it to 160dmg? I liked microing it with a longer reload and more damage: Driving back and forth between the shots. Now it will handle like the Tiger, thus I´m afraid it will lose its special charm. Cheap, spammable, low quality StuGs vs now tougher T-34/76s. Strange world. Are they going to get twoshot killed by everything now with less armor and health? Will have to see but my expectations are very low. In: COH2 Gameplay
