No, Blitz on the Panther was op. The old Panther without Blitz is fine. Especially with buffed Russian tanks, this abomination we call Panther right now, will never ever reach is previous power. If the Tiger really receives nerfs and the Panther doesn´t get a buff, I won´t be playing Ostheer any longer and jsut focus on the other three factions. Kinda stupid that the faction notorious for using superior armor, doesn´t get it. In: COH2 Balance

Actually that´s also a problem. Two of three shots will go through the Panthers frontal armor. That´s weak. You should be able to avoid taking too much damage when keeping the frontal armor at the enemy. That rewards good usage of the Panther. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Remember the Flammenwurfer?13 Jun 2014, 21:29 PM Used to be overpowered. Now I never see it. By the time you get it, the first T-34 is imminent. Then it gets two-shot killed. If it appears that late, it should scale better into the late game. The old vet modifiers would achieve that as they made it possible to stand 3 hits on vet. Either this or lower the ammunition cost for the upgrade to 100ish. Right now the ammo is better spent on MGs. In: COH2 Gameplay

Turns out some people are offended when the enemy just leaves and doesn´t say "gg". If you consider that a rude attitude, I can´t help you. If I didn´t enjoy the game, I won´t write "gg". Why should I lie? Insults on the other hand are very rare - for me at least. It´s best to ignore that, because most of those players are usually <20 years old and there´s no sense discussing with that. What´s more common is people complaining about the game and how it´s not balanced. I don´t consider that rude either. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: Panther overnerfed11 Jun 2014, 16:26 PM The Panther was at a better state in Coh1. There you where punished for using it wrong and rewarded for using it right. A lot of shots bounced from its front back then. Now either way your Panther will go down. No way could two Shermans park in front of the Panther and defeat it in Coh1. In Coh2 though this can happen. And that´s dumb. Now that Blitz is useless the survivability needs to go up. In: COH2 Balance

That´s their flaw, they can´t deliver a punch, because they have to immediately retreat. Only lowering the cost would still mean that Panthers could get lolrushed by mediums. The only difference would be another useless Panther 20 seconds earlier. In: COH2 Balance

Old Panther was too strong and easily able to get out of trouble, as well as take a lot of punishment. Even if you don´t compare it to its old state, it currently is a unit that´s not worth its cost. Jump back to quoted post10 Jun 2014, 19:57 PMPuppetmaster Keep it at max or close to max range as possible, because soviet guns lack penetration at range to reliably penetrate the front of a Panther, while the Panther has no issues penetrating T-34's. The Panther can´t see this far. Thanks to truesight any German infantry spotting for it will get killed. Scopes are an option, but when the Russian tank blob is moving towards you and you have to hit the reverse button on your Panther, that´s also useless. The Panther can hardly make use of its 50 range - unlike the SU-85. In: COH2 Balance

If they buffed it much more it would be a 175 fuel tank that counters a 200 fuel tank and the top of the Soviet heavies... Sounds like you want a non doctrinal IS2 hard counter. The IS-2 is under-performing as well. The damage reduction from 240 to 160 was too much imo - even with decreased reload time. In: COH2 Balance
