You should've just engaged him with 2 conscripts at the same time, from different angles. It's called flanking, it's what you do against MGs.
MG42 still is overpowered (and I'm speaking as someone who plays about as much Wehr as Soviets), but your biggest problem isn't balance, it's skill. |
People should have some patience. Relic already mentioned they're going to balance the heavy armor, but you can't balance late game if you're not done with mid game, which is what they're/have been working on lately. |
An SU85 doesnt own a properly microed Panther in my experience. I do agree that the Panther isn't nearly as great an investment as the Panzer IV, but that isn't just because the Panther is not good enough, it's also because the Panzer IV might be just a little bit too good (although absolutely not game breaking).
I think we should just wait. Last patch was about the T34 which really needed an update, maybe some more tweaking will be done about T3 but when that's done we'll very likely see changes for the end-game tanks. It's not just the Panther that needs changes really, the IS-2 as of now is just a piece of shit for what it costs for instance. They just can't balance those tanks before the early/mid game is balanced. |

To be honest I'd think dynamic would be a good idea indeed, but not because of realism (the game isn't realistic, and shouldn't be). It's a good idea because it happens too often that in game 1 your SU misses the first 3 shots on a P4, which may have crucial consequences for the rest of the game, and then in game 2 it hits everything. That's not something you have any control over, it's just decided by the RNG, and it doesn't exactly promote skill.
To be honest though, I don't think the problem of the current RNG is big enough to justify implementing a completely new RNG, since it could very well mean that it completely screws balance up, or is a lot of of work to implement. But I do think it would've been a good thing if we had it from the start. |
Well if you want that kind of realism then you should also be using munitions every time your soldiers shoot, and lose fuel when you're tank is driving  |
^Do you really think that wasn't clear? Still, your problem is your PC, not the game. If you're lagging during blizzards then obviously you need better hardware. |
