Just because you suck at something doesn't mean you have to bring everybody else down with you. Same thing here with the Pak40, just because this units is good no need to nerf it and make it useless. Instead buff the rest and bring them to the same level of performance.
Also lets not forget that in general allies tanks have less HP/Armor than the axis tanks. So when that pak hits it might look that is doing more dmg than it should be.
Off topic:
People complaining this days for everything... bugs are one thing but now thread after thread on "This is OP". I won't be surprise if someone complains about base mg's too, that's the only thing left no one complaint about yet.
why so bitter?
but i agree with you, AT guns need to scare tanks more. i think though, rather than OP, AT guns across the board must be fine tuned. make everything into paks and light tanks wont be seen. Zis needs a small rof increase, paks need a slight rof nerf, a very small one so it doesnt 2 shot light vehicles the moment they drive into range.
57mm needs a good buff for being the other only AT after jacksons. AP rounds should never bounce off anything even the JT/KT. regular shots should pen medium tanks regularly. |
no idea for 1v1 but in 2v2 always gang and flank this pos. taking it out early is always my 1st priority. i cant see how the usf can ever hope to flank this under good and prudent hands. only way is to have a m3 to get the job done. |
This is not even fucking remotely funny. Despite whining about the kubel the ost vs usf is hilariously in favour for the usf more so then the okw has against the usf. the most expensive tech vs the cheapest tech. m20 and quads can come out before you can get a pak on the field. and of course the superiority of rifles early game.
late game is not as weak as some people wish to believe. the jackson in my opnion is the best td in the game right now.
player card pls, or i cannot take you seriously.
u can also do 2v2s as allies now, im waiting for matches as ostheer |
Because people are lumping in ost with OKW - I don't own OKW and I can tell you that as OST you are at a disadvantage against USA - maybe not by a super huge amount but its definitely that ost is somehow stronger or has some super strong late game that USA cant counter.
When people say USA is weak late game they mostly refer vs. OKW match up which is a army I don't and wont own and making the USA any stronger ( as a lot of people are suggesting) will just make ost even more irrelevant.
i dont understand this, how is ost losing to usf. usf are still the weakest faction in the game, rifles are more or less equal to grens. mg42 shuts them down hard, grens can maintain range to win firefights and focus fire to beat remaining rifles up close. snipers can also bleed rifles at a very good rate. once lmg pops in, grens will beat rifles pretty handily.
if usf hunkers down, mht/mortars are going to wreck them without fear unless packhowie. aa ht is a bitch but can be countered by paks.
then late game, there's tigers to push usf at its weakest, the trick is just to avoid jacksons/AT guns while having a pak around to prevent jacksons from kiting tigers.
i think ost still have an upperhand in this matchup, they only need to watch out for midgame when its most dangerous with aa ht and dodging nades. else they can bleed usf pretty efficiently. |
This is exactly what needs to happen. Best part is we know relic can do it.
worst part is they arent going to do it. not with this community when any nerfs to axis is cried harder than the people of rome did when the barbarians sacked their city. |
the tiger and the is2 are in a perfect spot.
blitz is stupidly good for what it can do, especially on heavy armour. blitzing to reverse should be removed, it should only work on tanks moving forwards. also, traverse speed should remain the same while ability is active. |
too much long range firepower thrown around everywhere. there's rarely meatgrinder infantry fights. its always either you roll his infantry, or his infantry roll yours.
grenades have little impact in the game, its much easier to A move with lmgs than leave cover and get chopped up to bits while throwing a nade.
hmgs are again, outperformed by lmgs who have more ranged dps than them yet are unable to pin infantry down effectively. on the side note, do obers get insane suppression resistance when vetted?
all these little stuff makes distinguishing good players from the average ones. |
for soviets, t1 t2 brought me much success. be careful with your scout cars, 2x cons 1x penals and snipers, then AT guns to maxims or mortars.
burn them with scout car penals, dont move in if you dont know what they have, you dont want to send ur scout car into an early fiery death to schrecks. cons under green cover beat charging volks/sturmpios, they only lose to lmg grens. then drag out to heavy tanks and supplement ur forces with 1-2 shocks/guards.
heavy on the infantry, but with the current meta of luch rush, many people wont go that light arty gun for the okw to counter your set up teams. |
Let me be clear about one thing, heavies are not good as they are in their current state. At least that is my opinion.
And I'm not only talking about heavies itself, but also about how they are being called in, their impact on the game, ...
put perspective into germans, they dont have that big of a problem with heavies because of good, effective AT.
it is the allies that are suffering from getting rolled by superheavies and heavies because of constant shot bounces. apart from the isu152 which is as stupid as the jadgtiger, paks can handle everything even a is2 which cannot duke it out with paks without taking a huge hp loss in return.
kt/tiger ace/tiger can however, go straight up against a zis and beat them, because of insanely thick frontal armour for the KT, superb range for the TA but most importantly stupidly slow fire rate of the zis which cannot do enough dps to scare away heavies.
su85 is the next best option but against coordinated teams like double okw, once jadgtiger hit the field, su85s are so invalidated, you need the zis or an isu to do the real AT work and if your team dont have isu, you are soooooo boned. shit like this make the game so nonsensical. |
snip
maybe i have worded it poorly and steered it into a grens are op thread, but let me try to put the perspective back. but the point of this thread is not about grens overperforming. it is still about lmg outperforming. the idea that lmgs having dps comparable to elite infantry and can be massed by usf and ost is a the problem.
like katitoff said, it will always be a problem when lmg constantly snipes models, because of that high ranged dps. and abdul makes a good point that lmg pretty much negates cover with that kind of dps and flanking are effectively dealt with by focus firing.
the reason why i used grens and rifles is because they have access to lmgs and can be deployed to a critical mass where they output so much dps, enemy infantry lose models almost immediately on contact, this makes for really bad infantry play.
in short, lmg snipes models so effectively, playing against 4x lmgs feels like fighting against snipers spam strategy, the moment you reveal ur units, they are immediately gunned down and you lose models by merely popping into sight range of lmg. |
