All together a good patch. I would have preferred to see some changes to teching or more to be done against blobbing, but oh well.
Guards look like they will be pretty awesome coming out of this patch, will love to try them out.
PTRS Accuracy increased from 0.03 / 0.0425 / 0.055 to 0.22 / 0.50 / 0.60
i think this is a typo error. 0.5 and 0.6 accuracy is insane and will instantly wipe even infantry squads. i doubt they intended ptrs to be infantry snipers and killing everything.
likely its more 0.022/0.050/0.060.just a small accuracy buff that will not achieve much in anti tank or anti infantry. |
still, quite disappointed in the ptrs changes. it is a shitty AT rifle but it has its uses with light armour and was never regarded to be used towards heavies, even with an accuracy boost.
what this unit needs is really ptrs holsters and extra 2x mosin for ptrs models. then it will be perfect, decent infantry dps and a great nade, excellent unit in cover, limited effectiveness against armour |
horrible initial upgrade cost for a mediocre nade. its good at denial, thats about it. but with such major drawbacks, i'd rather forgo it and get a flamer instead to elite troops with real nades.
put the fuel to elsewhere where it matters, like a t1 and sniper, does so much more, less riskier than running up to throw a nade and puts alot more pressure on german infantry and its free per shot. |
If it was only intended to buff only 1 other unit then it would do so. It was created because Relic wanted the factions to have synergy with each other.
It's the same reason Soviets can reinforce at the USF ambulance, recrew airborne dropped weapons, and recrew USF tanks.
now if only they can buy and equip their weapons too, yes to conscripts with bars and bazookas.
on the issue of command panther, my only problem its a freaking panther which by itself is already amazing. give a command is2 that buffs everything while wrecking stuff, this forum will burn and drown in a massive tide of tears.
now imagine a panther that is already almost impregnable from the front, having longer than normal gun ranges, now its also able to buff units? how do allies actually get to it without waiting for it to make mistakes? |
beatable but skill involved is much greater for the allies. basically there's almost 0 room for error. lose the AA HT, you are fucked. while all the okw player has to do is merely focus fire on the AA HT with laser guided schrecks and you are forced to pull back for repairs, leaving ur LT, rifles and whatever other infantry open to rape.
apart from lmg paras, most allied infantry rely on getting in close to match german infantry dps. high risk, extremely mp costly but only mediocre rewards because once in short range, lmgs has already done a good number on ur guys, you'd either not have the numbers/dps to push them away and to retreat urself or they'd just retreat with minimal casualties, then a move back into ur position later.
what others are suggesting voltardark is simply for you to play a perfect game to best okw competitively, else well, bend over and lube up. |
omg, i feel so stupid. fixed it. it was only a gaming app that comes with msi that controls the clock speed of SOMETHING. so it was 800mhz at regular usage, but you can toggle it to gaming mode at 4400mhz, which gives me all the fps i need now.
guess this is fixed. |
I dunno, all that stuff is highly abnormal and probably indicates a hardware fault somewhere. If you built it yourself you basically have to trial and error to figure out where the problem is. It could even be mobo, psu, etc etc.
Not worth giving any thought to drivers or game patches until after that's sorted.
does seem like it, im gonna send it down to the repair shop to get that sorted out. but, i dont think it will affect my performance, since the cpu, gpu and with 1 stick of 8gb ram is working fine.
if any of those werent, rome 2 and other games would have failed equally too. |
My only explanation is that coh2 doesn't like nvidia or viceversa or both.
Ok, didn't have a card of your caliber, I had a 570 GTX series. But this card is close to or better than that in "recommended system requirements". And it was still running on low settings to have a decent frame rate. Changed it with an Ati R9 280 x series and no problem now. Runs perfect, everything on "highest" except anti aliasing which runs on "Low" and I'm sure I can't run the game on maximum settings becasue of my CPU which is weak. I saw some people here complaining about their nvidia cards performances related to coh2. That's why when I changed my video card I dismissed nvidia from the start.
im suspecting if its nvidia drivers or relic coding thats the problem here. i wanted to make sure i have done my end right.
if thats the case, ill just have to wait for new drivers that will fix it or coh2 patches that takes better advantage of current cards. |
cpu im using is i7 4790k with msi z97 gaming 5 mobo
i dont think its the cpu, unless something is throttling and capping it from using 100%. but looking at how rome 2 @ ultra settings is probably much more of a resource hog and i dont think its a temperature issue too, gpu readings are around 58 degree celsius on load, 40 degrees for the cpu. |
hi all,
recently built my 1st pc, got a gtx970 to go with. abit of hiccups here and there, like my ram doesnt work with dual channel set up, only a single 8gb stick works, hdd wont initialize and stuff like that. but generally its working well.
i tested my card with rome 2 and dragon age on ultra, both games. gpu usage shot up to approx 90% which is fine, i got 90 to 120 fps on rome 2 bench mark test.
problem is when i tried the same for coh, i get only 2-20 fps with gpu usage on 11%. the game is not utilizing the gpu at all, i've tried fiddling with the nvidia control panels to set for performance, power usage to maximum but to no avail.
so i have no idea what else to do. can anyone with similar experience advise? oh and i've updated the bios, gpu drivers to the latest so it shouldnt be a problem on gpu drivers.
thanks in advance. |
