Decently microed shocks handily defeat 2 gren squads 9 times out of 10, and no Soviet player worth his salt will chase a non-lmg gren squad while an lmg gren squad is shooting at him. yes, but its generally understood that, lmg grens are going to be around. if not, mg42s. shocks can be countered by generally good mg42 and grenadier combo early and later on, just 2 lmg grens. what tata probably means is that, once you can control their movement, you can control shocks. but obers are effective at all ranges. there's no way to counter them except with overwhelming infantry dps. there's too much rock paper scissors gameplay argument here, yes obers should counter infantry, but not this hard, not when they are a rifle unit. infantry hardcounters are usually require the stars to be aligned (aka shocks being in close range), slow and steady rate (snipers), or metal boxes (tanks). currently, obers behave like human tanks, often just strolling up and ending infantry fights, unless a lucky mortar hit or grenade. Thread: SU mortars, mg, zis OP in 2v2 or more, replay9 Nov 2014, 13:38 PM wehr mortar is generally better and you can get one for each mortar. else, support team spam like maxim spam, is generally countered by mortar halftrack which is somewhat resilient to mortar fire. if he goes 4, 2 mht should generally counter all his support team on the field. muni cache and spam away incendiary rounds. plus being in semoskiy, there's a lot of buildings in the middle to cover direct fire units so mht spam should be extremely viable. this, plus ur teammate going straight to t3 with gren and infantry spam, a good incnediary hit plus a move grens with gratuitous use of rifle nades, should control the tide of crappy soviet infantry and support teams, p4 to end it. Thread: Heavies vs mediums - unfair and stagnating the meta7 Nov 2014, 02:28 AM i dont think theres a huge difference in med and heavies. heavy tanks are just super mediums, only sacrificing a neligible amount of speed but a whole bunch of armor and firepower. the way i look at it, make heavy turrets traverse slowly, so they cant hit flanking mediums. drop their speed further so mediums can really punish them for exposing their flanks. these things should be powerful from the front, but extremely weak to flanks. if forced to do a 90degrees traverse, it should have some difficulty in getting a good aim.
