Thread: USF Bazooka thoughts?17 Sep 2015, 07:35 AM Jump back to quoted post17 Sep 2015, 07:19 AMCadianGuardsman I'm cautious, I don't want to see the cancerous Inf AT weapon spam becoming prevalent for the USF... especially when they have snares. not really, you lose ability to get bars and real anti infantry weapons, they are still stock rifles, cept now they are still pretty usable in a fight. if spammed, they arent still the best weapons to take tanks on frontally, since most shots will bounce on front armour. what it does is only prevent tanks from running over them or AT guns, thinking that they can just nascar in and get some free kills. this actually gives good synergy to jacksons/shermans and a real fighting chance against panthers/tigers, where tigers are getting buffed in the next patch. How could they see it though if they play exclusevely brits since the faction launch? 2x ISG, mortars HT with incendiary rounds. gotta use the right counter to emplacement. bofors hit hard but only hit hard if you put dudes infront of them. brits lack in early indirect fire and mortar pits arent worth it because they fall fast to incendiary rounds or ISG can barrage them indefinitely, they're basically sitting ducks. emplacements are still sitting ducks, easily countered not sure why people are having problems with them at all. the schwere panzer HQ is much tougher to counter and dislodge than emplacements to be honest. churchill and comets are great tanks but not a balance issue, panthers/AT guns can still take them on, on top of that, they cost a whole lot of resources. churchill crocs are the real problem, that flamer needs a bit of toning down. if you play them alot, brits are extremely reliant on clutch units, wasp flamer and centaur for most of their anti infantry work, these 2 are performing a little too well currently, but wasp will get patched, centaur needs a small damage and penetration nerf and its gold. once these are patched, things will change In: COH2 Balance
Thread: USF Bazooka thoughts?17 Sep 2015, 05:20 AM increase their rear armour damage x1.50, rear armour pen to 300 and keep them holstered so rifles/capt wont lose their anti infantry power. fits nicely into their army versatility theme. these things need a buff, but giving them increased front armor pen will only encourage bazooka spam and walking ball of tank doom. with this change, they can still remain effective against infantry but not over the top as they cannot equip bars/lmg and become powerful AT support against charging tanks who expose their rear to them. Thread: About mortars and panthers16 Sep 2015, 00:53 AM the problem with panthers is the lack of a similar tank in the allied rooster, panther is completely fine. panthers has a major presence in field. not because it is superb at killing infantry/tanks, but because its mobile enough, has the armour and hp to stay in field long enough to outlast them and kill them. it doesnt feel clunky to use, agile enough to get out of sticky situations and durable enough to take some shots without bending over and exploding even single time an AT gun sneezes in its direction. compared to a t70 or t34s, none of these tanks can take AT shots, they must be constantly out of sight and in hiding, until the player is ready to commit them to a fight. even so in combat, they fall so fast to AT guns and schrecks, there's no real reward for such a heavy micro unit. a glaring lack of a heavy non doctrinal tank who can provide an army similar staying power. Thread: LeIG is too effective12 Sep 2015, 01:13 AM to the brits, this thing is a monster, there's no counter to this thing for the brits. apart from the mortar emplacement which is a bitch to get, immobile and extremely expensive in a manpower starved faction. defend it well and there's no way for the brits to do anything about it, other than to brace structure and wait for the inevitable destruction of emplacement. this has nothing to do with the leig, its a decent light arty piece. keep it as it is, look into brit's counters instead. Thread: Time to fix the Ostheer sniper problem12 Sep 2015, 00:36 AM nerf this fella, ost has more than enough tools to deal with 6 man squad, snipers arent the only one. reduce his rof to match brit/soviet snipers. didnt see vcoh axis snipers bitching when they had the same firing speed as allied snipers, and they had to deal with more potent infantry squads. mechanics then meant that snipers are much more difficult to micro. Thread: Love it or Hate it ?9 Sep 2015, 15:45 PM not much fun, ost snipers are far too effective. infantry fights are now less grinding firefights/flanking, more about cat and mouse games with ost snipers. i actually miss the times when everyone was playing okw rather than ost and had great firefights with infantry, despite all the OP shit back then.
