i think infantry sections were overnerfed. they are now just a little bit like glorified grenadiers. grenadiers have that starting 0.91 rec acc and have better rifles, but cost 40mp lesser and abilities without super expensive upgrades.
granted they dont need so much dps as before, but they do need that durability back.
due to the lack of any early mortars or anti building tools, tommies need that durability to hold out and win grinding firefights again garrisoned units. |
sturms should not be in t0 when volks are buffed into decent mainline infantry. okw dont need that early game dps.
incendiary nades must be a side grade instead. it should not be free to unlock, like molotovs. similar with schrecks if they are to stay on volks. these weapons are too potent to be free to access.
volks are way too anti all right now with a dps buff. having sturms around also make sure short ranged threats are countered. while volks can be massed in numbers to outshoot both infantry and armour.
this is just before we factor in okw armour superiority. |
needs that bugged rof back and reduced scatter/aoe to make it an ai tank worth its price. vet requirements and boost dont matter when the base unit comes so late and has horrendous performance. |

recently i've been pretty sick of playing meta, shocks is2, guards t34/85 and advanced warfare. so i have been experimenting with new commanders and lo and behold, i found this little gem that is just so fun to play right now.

oh my god, AT partisans are the new shit. screw guards, screw shocks. ill take my AT partisans + ppsh conscripts instead.
having an effective infantry AT really throws off german players. charging panzers? garden dat, AT nades and schrecks to its ass.

these guys have next to none AI, stick a couple vet 3 ppsh conscripts up their face and watch them school these guys, prepare a katyusha to barrage their truck once they all retreat. |
its a necessary evil, okw AT comes either from p4s or panthers. they need schrecks to secure flanks.
but they can be adjusted definitely (read performance nerf plus a price cut). for their availability, they definitely do not need to be so accurate on volks or that kind of penetration |
volks are fine, no need for the changes, problem is with sturmpios, they dont have the durability to stay in the field for very long.
soviets can merge conscripts with elite infantry to keep them healthy while okw cant, but u cant just give them the same ability, that will be too insane.
the simplest way is to nerf sturmpio's dps at all ranges so they dont do rapeface dmg, drop their cost to 280 and adjust reinforce cost appropriately, so its easier for okw to field more sturmpios on field for some CQC power. |
if they add new models, voices and character to the game, i think they are worth the money.
really like arclyte's idea, but regular soviet mines are awesome enough, no need for overkill, let conscripts gain ability to place regular mines instead of heavy AT mines.
give them su 100 instead of another emplacement, replace that advanced katty with ml-20 and its good.

was fine on pgrens who are expensive and few in number. not fine on volks, need a massive long range accuracy nerf, give them faust on upgrade to compensate.
vcoh 1.5 again, laser guided schrecks. mentioned since release, nothing been done.
