I wish people post the statistics when they complain about upkeep. How much is the upkeep that makes you think paratroopers take too much upkeep? Hopefully you give numbers the next time you think a unit needs something, but I took the liberty to look it up myself.
Paratroopers take up 9 population and they can take on obersoldaten on a straight up match, which obersoldaten takes up 10 popcap so I think Paratroopers are at a fine spot. |
Before putting some of those units in I think it would be better to fix the units the Soviets have now so they all have their own roles. The Su76 is supposed to be a mobile zis gun not the 80 damage overpriced junk we have. The T70's be weaker but cost should be reduced too 200 mp and 40 fuel because I don't see why you would choose t70 over a T34 when they nearly cost the same in fuel 70 to 100?

OKW is probably the strongest due to having very high dps infantry and powerful tanks, but the OKW does have it's weaknesses. OKW is currently strong in early game but that may not last long since kubel is probably getting nerfed.
The OKW is vulnerable to artillery. Unlike the Ostheer that has abilities like Stuka and railway artillery the OKW does not have any precise off map abilities that can destroy targets behind enemy lines. This means the OKW trucks can be repeatedly pounded by the allies, forcing the OKW player to break through heavy enemy defences to get their artillery.
The OKW heavy tanks are really expensive so if the OKW player wants to skip all the way to heavy tanks he would be risking himself to allied medium tank spam. |
I think Conscripts should have the ppsh upgrade after they get their T3 or T4 building, and have dp28s as an doctrine ability or have it the other way around.
I just wish Relic gave conscripts normal grenades instead of cocktails. Penals are fine because of satchel charges and flame thrower they have a role against bunkers and buildings.
Maxims were fine before the Relic patched it too stop retreating after losing the gunner. Now Maxims have less a chance of escaping. However, I also want to see Maxims do less damage but have a little more suppression seems in the data it has less suppression than mg42. Although, I do sometimes see the MG42 not suppression units at all after a few bursts, it's either yellow cover is very effective or there is something about hills in this game. |
I don't like allied war machine because it encourages the US player into throwing away there tanks.

It should be reworked, not getting a price adjustment. It's retarded like "stun" ability.
A lot of things needed to be reworked in this game but Relics not changing any of it. Soviet teching, ramming, blitzkreig it's all still in here. Relic tried to make it so blitzkreig only increase acceleration and not speed but that didn't work hence the other way is perhaps a fuel cost that way players can't be spamming it too much without losing enough fuel for another tank. |
^^ Well, the "old" T-34 worked before, it'd work now. Apart from that the germans can afford better AT than the soviets (PAKs with stun, shrecks) + superblitz, forcing the soviets to fight fire with fire wouldn't work. The germans just simply better at combined arms and defence. They'd just die closing in on the germans. Lowering the T-34's armor would be a death sentence, cost decrease cannot justify this.
It needs the old reload again and better veterancy or an upgrade to 85 once hits vet 2-3.
No, it didn't work before. Before it was who wins in close range? RNG, who wins at long range? RNG.
While Germans have better abilities against tanks, the Soviets have better abilities against things that are not tanks, hence the Soviets can ruin a German combined arms easier while having hard time against tanks while the Germans have a harder time against Soviet weapon teams. With a cost decrease the Soviets would be able to afford their things therefore setting up there combined arms easier. Cheaper tanks, cheaper AT guns the Soviets did win the war by simply outnumbering the Germans in terms of material like having more tanks and anti tank guns, trying to translate that into the game. |
It just only makes so much sense that extra fuel is being burned when you boost up your engines. Not so much fuel but 5 fuel or 10 fuel? Helmut isn't putting a High Explosive round into his engine to make his tank go faster like the train scene in back to the future 3.

And why exactly would people build t34/76's because of this? Short range tactics mean your tank probably wont make it back alive. If Soviets had a non doctrinal ability to spend munitions to replace dead t34/76's, then perhaps the tank can be used for fodder this way. Otherwise, i see a tank version of the conscript.
Oh jeez, a much cheaper tank has a chance of defeating a more expensive tank and you are worried about not getting away? Would it be better if a T34 just rush into a lone Panzer IV and take it out, is that what you guys want?
This is where combined arms take place, where players have to be more tactical with their units. If the Panzer IV attacks it will be knocked out by a combined force of T34s and Anti tank guns. Hence the cheaper cost of the T34 will make it so players can afford to make other things. If the T34 attacks and actually got close to the Panzer IV the Panzer IV need it's own supporting units to damage the T34 so the Panzer IV has the winning chance. Both sides needing the combined arms to win and at the same time maintain some sort of asymmetry to the different kind of advantage. If you think the Panzer IV has too much of an advantage give some of your own suggestions. |
T34 doesn't need a buff, it needs a price decrease with an armor nerf.
Now: 12 popcap, 310 mp, 100 fuel.
Armor: 150
F34 gun penetration : 120 short, 100 medium, 80 long.
My suggestion: 9 pop cap, 280 mp, 90 fuel.
Armor: 120
F34 76mm gun penetration : 140 short, 110 medium, 80 long.
Panzer IV now: 12 popcap, 340 mp, 120 fuel.
Armor: 180
Kwk40 75mm gun penetration: 120 short, 110 medium, 100 long.
Panzer IV suggestion: 12 popca, 340 mp, 120 fuel.
Armor: 160
Kwk40 gun penetration: 150 short, 130 medium, 110 long.
That way the Cheaper T34s have a high chance of penetrating in short range while the more Panzer IV has a good chance of penetrating at all ranges. This way players get to develop different tactics to beat each other instead of just bashing each others head till rng decides to victor.
Also late game T34s could easily have the numerical advantage against big tanks and use the small med tanks surround and trap one big tank tactic that I've seen used successfully with T3485s and Shermans. This time with increase point blank range penetration for point blank range tactics. |
