Werwolf (ähem), I fully understand the difference between Allgemeine SS, Waffen-SS, SiPo, SD, what have you, I've actually been at Ludwigsburg, Freiburg too, and while we can argue all day about ie. the numbers of Jewish Holocaust victims ("only" 5,2 millions might come closest to a scholarly consensus these days) I can tell you for a fact that the Einsatzgruppen were not a figment of anyones imagination, and neither was their work, if you want to call it that. The documentation of the Ulmer Einsatzgruppenprozeß is open source, I suggest you take a look, starting here...:

LeYawn - Not sure if you are interested in how these things propagate, but this I found this an interesting (long) thread on how denier operate, how they use legitimate sources out of context (like Werewolf used the historical discussions of how the number was never 6 million, but stopped after the implication that the holocaust was just some hysterical exaggeration) and how such "big lies" actually take a lot of effort to counter.
If you have any questions about the thread, I know participants personally.

Neither did the Germans. Even the most fanatical believer has to and do admit that endlessly propogated figure is a figment of imagination constantly revised down as each fallacy is revealed. Nice and neat easy to remember figure for peperpetuation of the lie to simpletons though.
Anyway, we're done here. Let talk armour. Ordinary Americans died in rubbish Shermans when they shouldn't have. The casualty rates were dreadful. I would never detract from the bravery of any tanker on any side.
Talk about Nazis fanboy... you seem to be the real deal.
You conveniently stopped just before you reached outright Holocaust denial phase.
"...endlessly propogated figure is a figment of imagination constantly revised down..." To what? The lowest figure I have ever seen is 4.5 million. True, not all were in death camps. But the enormity of the horror is even greater when you take into account all the experimentation with, and the evolution of, extermination apparati and programs. They really REALLY wanted to finish the job. And all of it is well documented by both victim and perpetrator alike.

what if:
- while abandoned, tanks get reduced armor value
- you can only reclaim an abandoned tank only after 100% repairing it
I love both. It makes it less of an game turning RNG factor because recovery requires lots of risk/effort and strategy.
Therefore the changes will probably never be implemented. |
That would actually help.
I am not sure the "nerf new rifle" crowd that would rather a cheaper rifle reinforce realizes what they ask for. It would be a buff to US income that lasts through the game. That means the faction always floats fuel could have more units/vehicles/cahes/stuff. Right now they only start to feel the benefits when a rifle hits vet3 and it doesn't increase until more rifles hit vet3.
reducing reinforce costs will increase all USF options assuming heavy rifle play. |
I know this is a COH2 forum but...
Thank you Relic! for fixing whatever in coh1 automatch and lobby that was broken when the brits were released.

wtf are you talking about
Sorry the sarcasm wasn't strong enough.
There are a lot of ridiculous, biased, or agenda-driven comments (an many that are merely uninformed) on these forums. yours was none of those, so the question was... what is a reasonable person like you doing here? |
You are missing three other choices on your poll.
OP doesn't think so. OP is also sure they have no biases. |
Honestly OH is the most straight forward faction to play, in my humble opinion anyway. You have linear tech progression, readily available counters for most things an opponent can throw at you throughout the game, low-micro indirect fire weapons that are very powerful, durable armor, and very cost-effective and flexible infantry backbone. They are the faction I learned how to play the game with and I'd recommend the same to new players.
Soviets are probably a close second, you still have a lot of counters available to you and the faction can be pretty forgiving. It may actually be the easiest come next patch with OH mortar nerf and the ninja gren bug/buff hopefully fixed, but I guess we'll see.
No idea why you think OKW is easy to play. They have a lot of trade-offs and tough decisions they have to make throughout the game to be competitive, not to mention the dubious efficiency/cost ratio of a lot of units/call-ins. I guess they are easy in lower-level play where shreck blobs are effective and the flak truck can shut down 1/3 of the map, so maybe this is what you are seeing (no offense intended.)
USF is by far the hardest imo, especially in its current state. You have paper infantry/armor that are very unforgiving to positional mistakes, tons of micro taxes, very few viable BOs (making USF very predictable,) and by far the worst late game out of any faction.
That was actually nicely explained. Concise, reasonable. What are you doing on this forum?!

Axis fanboy logic "why does this low 57mm cannon is equal to a 75mm axis one?"
meanwhile the Isu-152 with its BIG 152MM!!! cannon cant penetrate with AP shells panthers WHILE the panther with tis 75mm gun penetrates IS-2s and ISU-152s
cause reasons
This is and has always been the axis fanbois logic.
If you disagree because you think history was different (usually a mythological history, but nevermind), argue it shouldn't be because... HISTORY!
If history works against your argument (only 40 Ostwinds were ever made, yet they appear so often), argue ... It's a game! |
Surely they must be buffed.
Buffs needed for:
-Centaur
-Crocodile
-Comet
-Commandos
better buff wasp's range while we're at it!
Must be done, otherwise up faction.
Just because a faction has OP units doesn't mean a faction is OP.
Balance the early/mid/late game of all factions. Maybe play with the timing A LITTLE, but make them all playable at different stages. If this means they are not so different, so be it. Currently they look like they came out of different games. |
