Remove received accuracy modifier, make it unavailable to all Churchill vehicles and make speed bonus according to vehicle weight (smaller the vehicle weight)
warspeed bonus is a direct clone of the current wehr blitz. if the wehr blitz have been "nerfed to the ground" then the warspeed is actually up. |
Giving MP44 to volk? Are you insane?
I can understand if it were MP40, but MP44?
That would rip even soviet shock squad in second, not to mention that volk can amass large number with cheap cost.
About panzerfaust, at first, it seems great, but then it makes no allied tank capable of flanking anymore. And there is no different between ost and okw after this change.
Try new ideal instead of mirroring other faction, otherwise the game will become boring.
No, giving folks mp44s will make then op vs the Soviets because cons don't have any weapons to make the scale better, that and the fact folks are the cheapest infantry in the game and already have incindary grenades that they instantly throw and 5 levels of vet.
soviet can handle lmg42 grenadier, they can handle volks grenadier with 2 mp44. Volks is also the cheapest infantry squad by 5 mp. that's a tiny difference.
a mass of schreck is as hard to flank as a mass of volks with faust. Grenadiers with faust haven't made wehr immune to flanking.
OKW has the same infantry design as soviets, meaning you get your AI power from elite infantry, not your mainline. They won't do this because they don't want players spamming volks, simple as that.
spamming volks with schreck have been the okw's bread and butter since WFA release. It's overshadowed by leIG atm but it's going to be their main strategy again once the patch hit.

I dunno why people like you are using dual equipping as an argument lol. You realize that your units have a higher chance to drop their weapons when they dual equip?
rifleman, paratrooper and rear echelon will only drop their weapon if they got killed down to one man. |

if it's so important to make the two unit different, there are ways to do it beside making suxton the single worst arty in the game.
give sexton 200 range and a 10 shell barrage, but retain the shell's individual strength. this way the sexton hit farther and more often, but with a weaker shell. |
Sturmpio already serves the role of early unit close assault troop. If you give mp44 to Volks, you make Sturmpio completely superfluous. Raketen is in base building already. That is your early AT. Keep in mind you can camo it, garrison it, and retreat it. It's a really good unit, just requires some measure of positioning.
sturmpios are the okw's primary repair unit and minsweeper. Giving volks mp44 isn't going to change that.

Sturmpios reinforce cost was recently lowered just so you can have more AI power by going dual spios in early game if you feel like you need it.

And if volks were to get anything, it should be doctrinal, just like con ptrs and ppsh which are most inferior weapons of their kinds in game.
it's not just the mp44 that's important. Giving faust to volks round out the package. I think schreck blob is ugly but the okw is dependent on the weapon upgrade. Giving them panzerfaust and mp44 remove their addiction to schreck and give the okw a much needed boost.
All these because the shreck was nerfed some time ago while raketen received no buff at all, except that camo which is not a buff, it's rather a feature.
having cloak out of the gate is extremely useful. being able to hide dramatically increase their survivability. It actually allow the raketen to actually stalk tanks as well. There's more to a unit then just their weapon. Commandos, stormtroopers and raketen would all be completely different unit without their cloak.

the okw's two biggest weakness is infantry and (ironically) early vehicle. (By "early", I mean before the okw get enough munition for a schreck)
what the okw actually need is anti-infantry upgrade for the volks, because the flak halftrack and kubel are both too flimsy to be useful. Both luch and ober are decent but lack any crowd control ability. Even the grenadier lmg42 need mg42 for backup. The volks should get a dual mp44 package to help them against allied infantry.
Secondly, the okw is still vulnerable to an early vehicle rush, because most of their anti-tank weapon are mid-late game. nobody is going to build a raketen in the beginning, and there are simply not enough munition buy a schreck early on. This leave the okw extremely vulnerable to a sov m3 rush, or even the USF dodge truck. Volks should get faust by default to handle an early m3.
The schreck is also redundant, because the okw have access to some of the best anti-tank weapon in the game. The raketen, jpz4, Puma, pz4, panther, and king tiger are all terrific weapon.
the volks' main role should be to protect their expensive and elite unit from the much more numerous allies units. Mp44+faust would give the volkgrenadier much better defensive capability, unlike their current schreck. Faust would also synergize much better with their already existing anti-tank unit. A vehicle with a damaged engine is easy prey for the raketen. |
That would be fair, if BARs and nades would be unlocked if you teched to LT/CPT. but since we aren't in fairy tale land that isn't a valid counter argument. I really hope you aren't arguing for the sake of arguing in this context.

Lt and Capt give the US straight access to new units, as well as the officer.
wehr tier research give them access to new ability and upgrade option but not the option to build new units.
imagine if the us needed to at least buy the grenade or weapon rack upgrade before being able to buy one of the officer building. that's essentially what the wehr have to deal with. T3 and t4 doesn't even have any actual benefit beside allowing you to build the actual production building. |
Or how about we add tech costs for at least grenadier lmgs, volks shrecks ( MAYBE), instead? So there is at least a thought process behind them like teching molotovs, grenades, BARs rather than the brainless upgrades they actually are?
Why do Axis get essentially " free " upgrades like these when the Allied players are paying for them in extra MP/ Fuel.
It really makes no sense to me. Makes doctrines like CAS stronger than they need to be when there is no extra cost tied to upgrading LMG's
