How is that fair towards Soviets/the T34? I don't want it to replace infantry capping, but the current iteration is utterly useless. Even when buffed it will not be worth using on the direct frontline since you won't risk your tank to start the fight at an disadvantage. That being said, I think the secure mode will unfortunately not be part of the current patch due to it being shared on the normal T34 I wouldn't call it useless it's more like it situational. T34-76 is cheap. It cost less than Ostwinds, Command p4 and even Centaur. And it can already fight these thing. The fact it gets situational utility isn't necessarily unfair to Soviets. T34-85 is simply the best medium in the game. It's got HP, Armor(less than p4 but still), Pen, AI performance, Mobility with cost efficiency to boot. + all the commanders this tank is available on are good. I can't see giving them a good vet 1 ability(I'm guessing combat orientated one that you think are usefull) be anything other than making it Borderline OP. In: COH2 Balance

And if your doing it to put capping pressure on your opponent at late game than it would be quite op if it gets buffed. And if your using it when you don't have enough infantry to cap(considering the speed getting buffed) then you would just be negating the capping advantage your opponent got on you which really wouldn't be fair to the opponent. Well, Even though I get your point, I still don't mind having this ability on t34/85's and would be pretty sad to loose it if I'm being completely honest honest. T34's ability to cap can be used to stall capping until infantry arrives or be an extra capper if your on pinch. In: COH2 Balance

Fits unit very well, since it has 85mm cannon. But t34/85 is the best Medium in the game(IMO though), i don't really think it needs anything. + you have mark vehicle in GMCT. That would make to 216~270 damage at 260 pen that would be nuts for a non td tank. In: COH2 Balance

The secure mode ability for both stock T34 and doctrinal T34 should be buffed by improving either capture rate, decapture rate or both, depending on what the ability should be aimed at. The capture ability works on the T70 since it provides recon as well. The T34s are just too expensive to let them stand around on a point for ages and be vulnerable at the same time. To be fair on Commanders with crew repairs it's actually not that much of a waste to repair while capping territory. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - Soviet Feedback11 May 2021, 08:10 AM I want to suggest changes for 2 commanders, Advanced warfare: change the IL2 strafe to IL2 AT loiter(Basically the USF p47 loiter) why: too many commanders now have IL2 strafe, and this is just an inferior version of Armoured Assault. This will give it something extra. Soviet Reserve army: Change the Conscript Assault package to airdrop weapons or make a new upgrade package that affects all infantry units(combat engies, cons, penal) e.g. ppsh for cons, svt for engies and smoke+nade replacing satchel for penals. They are just no longer a no brainer choice. But is there any reason to pick vsl over lmgs now???? Don't get me wrong, my entire point was that lmg's are always better. They allow you to fight even with upgraded allied infantry late game and since you don't need to close in you don't take as much damage. VSL upgrade doesn't do all that well. They can't beat Penals at any range, they loose to 4 man section behind cover and bar upgraded rifle who cost pretty much the same (280+60 to vsl grens 268+60)dominate them at all ranges. They are not use full at combat over the lmg one and they even take more damage because any other squad than rifles and cons(pretty much out dps them at all ranges). I suggest allowing them to upgrade to lmg 42 after t4 has been teched. Or if that is to much lower the upgrade cost to 50 and reduce reinforce cost by 3. In: COH2 Balance

The vet2 reload bonus and vet1 radio net is a big advantage in armor battles. The doctrine itself lacks a supporting ability for that matter like 'combined arms' from usf mech doc or 'mark target' which is probably the biggest flaw of the commander. Most docs that rely on premium medium tanks can support their superior tanks in a push with either off maps or buffs. Thats said, lend lease can hold its own with its main selling point the m4c and dshka. The rest of the doc is situational but uselefull nethertheless. Its current use in the ml5 indicates that lend lease is just behind top meta commander in power level Note that you get a mobile and fast smoke dispenser with the m4c which is unique with this commander for soviets I wonder if the new and improved Ass guards will elevate this commander.
