please do explain how now they are bad in attacking , they now cost less and have same dps , if not better with lmg
They have bad moving DPS, dont have mobile smoke outside the pit to cover movements, dont have dedicated cqb unit to support, LMG cant fire on moving so it further decrease moving dps.

My frend often go for a squad with 3 Bar and 2 squad with 3 zook. |
It is not fine because they get outranged and outburned.
Where is the superior axis armor?
Heck Panther turret rotation quality is worse than Churchill until it gets vet3.
Yet the Panther is superior to all allies medium and premium medium, include Pershing. What else can you ask from it ? Superior so it own counter ?
Allies TD out range panther because it is the only way they can be count as a hard counter, and event by that, panther still can easily solo kill unsupported FF or su85, only jackson can runaway from it.

Vet 3 FF have 6 sec load, but still, 8 sec at fist is too long. I think buff it reload at vet 0 to 7 and torn down vet bonus to keep vet 3 at 6. |
Is it me but look at Panther and Pak40
Panther: 260/240/220. And thats it, no vet no special ammo
Pak40: 210/200/190, at Vet3: 273/260/247. AP ammo i give you that, it pens all Allies tanks BUT take too long loading and can fire 1 shot for 160 damage only.
Say we take their mid values of 240 and 200/260. This is fair average encounter.
They are up against Allies front/side values
Churchill Croc/AVRE : 290
Churchill : 240
Comet: 290
Pershing: 270
IS2: 375
ISU152: 340
KV1: 270
KV2: 300
KV8: 260
The pak have exactly same pen like a 6 pdr , both stock and vet 3, but 6pdr not have AP round, so allies have no advantage in AT gun.
For all the allies heavy you listed, only churchill and comet is stock but Pak40 have a fair chane to pen it frontally and comet cant solo panther, others is doctrinal and for doctrinal unit, you have doctrinal counter, aka pak43 and ele.
What is the pont ? |
So why does it have high rear armour if its supposed to have high acceleration and rotation to rotate its rear armour away lol. if your churchill gets flanked, that doesn't mean its 100% destroyed, it has very high health pool, the only way you can lose it if you over extend it without any support (and it still sometimes survives lol) then you deserve to lose it.
Did you miss something, i said the churchill (normal) often get shoot from multi directions while doing the job it designed for, so getting extra rear armor is also a part of it design along with acceleration and rotation, while it front armor is inferior to others heavy. |
Check the acceleration and rotation speed of Churchill it is actually very high.
But after all, its top speed is very low while the design of the the tank required it to taking shoot and fight in close range to be effective (damage spong, main gun with low far pen and grenade ability). This often lead to situation that the tank get surrounded and attacked from multi direction, so it has more acceleration and rotation to be able to manage it way out of danger. |
All true ppl - but from what I know we can only play with existing stuff. We can't really create new units, etc, can we? Why not try with bofors+aec build? It is so easy to implement.
Make bofor and AEC no longer lockout each other is a good stat.
British mortar team using usf mortar already exist in lend lease regimen, so just move it into platoon CP. |
Exactly this ._.
A lot of effort has been spent to remove emplacements from the game. |
thought we was talking about the croc? its ai is worse then mediums?? no man wtf. In your earlier post, you said the slow mobility was the reason croc has high rear armour thus i mentioned other heavies and now your changing your reasoning. TBH, its not up to me or you, but the balance team who wer supposed to standardise all mid-heavy tanks rear armour, but have left out a few but will hopefully look at in the future. With rear armour nerfs the croc aswell as the Churchill will still be very viable options.
I think he was responding about the normal churchill because several people talking about it before him and everyone is messing stock churchill and croc churchill in this thread.
I will say, the stock churchill have high survivability because it have inferior main gun compared to other heavy. It's main role is "not to die easily".
In the case of croc, it lose 20% of durable compare to a stock churchill and pay 65 more fuel for a wasp flamethrower stick in it's hull. |
