Thread: Pershing vs Tiger. Shouldn't Pershing be buffed?16 May 2021, 19:54 PM it come back to what i pointed out, Pershing with extra investment and mirco can fire as fast as default tiger is crazy but tiger together with ability to counter it own counter on top of beating Pershing head on is something "supposed to" happen. If any buffs, it should be to the price of the unit, not to the potency or combat effectives. If you want to bring in supporting arms then noone can beat ost, their tiger come with better/easier to use support abilities, their stock line up is more round up and accessible to deal with all threats. In evnt the wost case, they can still rely on pak wall and an us player with Pershing dont have any tools to break that, as happened in tightrope's game. In: COH2 Balance

They support it, not make it itself simply better. Any changes to the Pershing have to be considered in combination with how it will look with CA modifying it. You can whine all you want but an ability that increases range by 5 and rof by 30% NEEDS to be taken in consideration. You cannot have a Pershing and not have access to the ability. The effect of the ability needs to be in mind when tweaking the unit or we end up with for the father land falls all over again... And i do take it into account and did all the math, with the upcoming neft to ca, the Pershing with ca cant event be on par with tiger in term of rof any more. In: COH2 Balance

Oh, you remind me that Pershing is going get only 20% reload from CA in the beta, so a vet 3 Pershing with ca and all the efforts to make it happen will take 4.08s for a shot, perfect when compare to 3.71s of a vet 3 tiger, just perfect. Shouldn't Pershing be buffed?16 May 2021, 17:54 PM While at here, i also want to point out how funny that Pershing + CA is referred to as Scarry stuff while all tiger doc come wih at least an ability that either delete or force at gun to move (frag bomb/light arty), force rd away td (at strafe) or an escape route (pz tac). The big armor advantage is a myth, both sides are roughly on par. Axis get a few outliners, and Allies get stock TDs with high pen to deal with them. And my point stand, Pershing's 20 extra pen over the tiger is not an advantage, and that it's AT is nothing special, so the remain strength - AI and mobility - are not enough to off set obvious and numberous weakness of the unit. Like p4 have more armor than all sherman variant, bumbar(vet) have more armor than all churchill variant, etc. in total, axis have 5 vehicle with 300+ armor, alies have 3, axis have 3 vehicle with 350+ armor, alies have none, what about that ? And the point is that axis have more armor in general that 20 more pen that the pershing have over the tiger is not an advantage. In: COH2 Balance

I was explaining why the -50% reload bonus at vet 3 got changed to the standard -30%. Because with -50%, it ended up with a potential 3 second reload. I may misreading some part but it doent change my maint point, that curent pershing(30% vet reload vet) still require alot of additional res and micro just to be on par with tiger in term of rof. I dont come up with the proposal of 50% reload vet nor support it, but the pershing clearly need help and point out CA as a reason not to do so is not reasonable at best, it can and should get REAL buff in other stat other than rof. Shouldn't Pershing be buffed?16 May 2021, 16:37 PM pershing's AT is also nowhere near special, it have 20 more pen than the tiger but since sander mention "ecosystem", pershing have to face target with higher armor so the pen dont make it's that better. For instance, both pershing and tiger have roughly the same chance to pen each other front armor at max range of 73/74%, while the tiger have more HP and shot faster at both vet 0 and 3, taking into account that pershing have to rely on ability and extra micro to event being on par in term of rof.
