Would changing the Elefant/Jagdtiger like this make the game more balanced?
Range from 70 to 60.
Damage from 300 to 320(400).
Maybe decrease cost (cp/fuel) too.
Easier to counter, less obnoxious to deal with on maps like Kharkov/rails, while still being a threat with the 2 shot Potential.
no. it will just make the games quicker with less chance of recovery comeback. a no-no. |
It is an extremely strong unit, I would also agree with nerfing it. I think a mobility nerf once the upgrade pops would be a good change.
to be fair, i also think the soviet clown car should get mobility nerf once it carry units too

This is wrong on so many levels.
First the standard/default sight is 35.
Whermacht:
Pioneers
Sniper
Scout Car
SdKfz 251/1 Half-track
Officer Units
G43 Upgrade
Spotting Scopes which allow every single one of your Vehicles to have extra sight range and with Spotting Scopes are the only faction able to hit 90 Vision range (Scout Car with Vet and Scopes)
Compare that with USF which only have :
USF:
M20
Pathfinders
Stuart is also the only light vehicle at 35 range vs 50 (it needs Vet 1 to hit 50 Sight - Something the Scout Car can do right out the gate)
Major in upcoming patch - At the Expense of losing your only way to get Forward Retreat (A HUGE Negative)
Imagine asking OKW to pick between Forward HQ and have extra sight.
USF as a whole should be the faction with the most sight options. Especially Since they are supposed to focus on being mobile and flanking (since they dont have easy access to MG early on, OKW is in the same boat).Nor do they have access to stock options for LMG forcing them to be up close. (OKW have Obers) Forcing you to always be close on top of not having non stock Artillery (which OKW also has stock as well as great sight options to allow them to actually flank)
USF should have
+15 sight on all Officer Units (LT - Captain - Major) Since they are the only officer units with Stock 35 vision
M1919A6 LMG made stock, unlocked after Major (Puts it in a similar time frame as Obers)
Stuart - Give it a Recon Ability like the T-70 so it can be useful late game as a Recon Unit
Considering that USF does not have Access to non doctrinal artillery these are changes that would help the faction get close to the 50% win ratio and make up for the lack of artillery by making it easier to flank.
how is it incorrect? i am just saying ost late game recon is poor. and the major sight buff is very good, and they are much harder to dispatch than 222.
it is not like every game you take spotting scopes doctrine. |
major is far harder to kill than 222 and only need vet1 to get +15.
i think it is major boost.
in the end, ost has weak sight options late game. weakest imo |
The rifle grenade explodes on impact because it takes longer to fire, flies much slower through the air, has a much smaller AOE, and has a minimum range when compared to a "regular" grenade. If you're reacting to the orange timer on a grenade it is already too late.
The only issue is the bugged grenade callouts.
rifle nad also need to deal with larger squad sizes... |
sounds like crazy buffs to brits....
and why the mortar smoke keeps getting buffed? i think it is bad for ost static plays. axis mg also get a nerf...
i mean if grens can go h2h with usf and brit infantry, that wont be so bad, but the mortar will tilt the encounters even more |
su76 is more mobile than stug and p4 though. it could get a cheaper fuel cost, but buffing anymore performance will break things in 2v2. |
i am also believer of the timing
most 1v1 2v2 will get the t70 earlier and that pushes back su76 for aggressive map control.
you can go for fast su76 but there are no axis tanks for it at that timings.
therefore su76 is fine as a fall back, just like stug. su76 got many buffs in recent, more so than stug. seems a good spot without stacking the strong soviet composition |
SU76 vs puma is an interesting comparison - I'd choose the puma every time.
Su76 is more akin to the stug G, but the stug would win most of the time 1v1.
I can imagine Su-76 spam dying horribly to a few mines and AT guns. Now that the barrage has a cost, that itself isn't spammable either. In short, it is currently not a spammable unit.
I like the unit and think it's useful in its current iteration, and I also think that increasing its AT damage would NOT make it OP.
it has increasd AT on vet already.
unless we drop its range from 60 to 50 i guess?
the rof between su76 and stug is very close and almost similar.. |
this site isn’t representative of the whole player base, most people don’t care
i agree.
i am shocked the longest thread about coh3 feedback here, is about a tank called Black Prince, which i dont care to search its wikipedia |
